"Hey it's getting pretty late and I really need to find my brother. Sorry to cut this conversation short Sam. I'd love to continue it soon." Oakley had a sad smile on her face. Sam nodded his head and saluted before boring back into the wall that he was leaning against.
She laughed to herself as she walked away and looked at the now small crowd of people that are still gathered in the hall. He clearly wasn't in here so there was only one other place that he could be.
HIs dorm room. She walked out of the hall and up towards the specialists dorm rooms and found the room that she was looking for. Unfortunately, who she was looking for was not there. Instead stood the blonde girl that used to date him was laying on his bed.
"Stella what are you doing here?" Oakley asked the girl with confusion and walked closer to the girl.
"I can't spend the night in a room full of fairies that hate me." Stella said and looked towards Oakley. She had tears in her eyes and er mascara was already running."What happened while I was gone?" Oakley asked and sat down next to Stella.
"You mean you haven't been told what happened by the other girls yet." Stella asked the girl and she shook her head no."So, something happened with Bloom and her magic, but she walked into the dorm and said hat she wanted to go home and see her parents so I did something nice and gave her my ring to use as a portal key." So everyone was just assuming she did something bad? Oakley thought to herself.
"But on the way back all the girls ran to find her because the portal is beyond the barrier. I got a call from Musa saying that there was a problem and so I made sure to get headmistress Dowling to go out there."
Poor Stella was just trying to do something nice for once but everyone else saw it as something bad. Yeah Oakley wasn't best friends with the girl but she didn't completely hate her either.
"When did all of this happen exactly?" Oakley asked her."Only a few minutes ago. I didn't want to be there when they got back because they are all going to yell at me so I came here. I'm sorry if I got in the way of you trying to talk to Sky. I was honestly here to talk to Brandon because, why would I ever want to talk to Riven, and I'm over Sky."
Hearing Stella say this made Oakley pale. It was strange hearing the girl say that she was over him because of how much she obsessed over him last year.
"I trust you Stella, I really do but do you mind if I go see if the girls are okay?" She asked and Stella shook her head knowing that she was friends with the others.Oakley smiled and gave Stella a quick hug for comfort before running out side of the buildings and near the old shed where the old portal was. Oakley ran as fast as she could to try and find the girls and after not very long she found them all at the barrier.
"Why has nobody gone out there yet?" She asked and stood there with the others.
"Well we don't know what's out there." Aisha
"We know that out friend is in possible danger if we don't go and see." Oakley basically yelled and quickly went through the barrier. If what Stella said was true, and there was a burned one out there then Bloom really could be in some serious danger.
"Guys just stop worrying about what is out here for one second and help me find Bloom!" Oakley yelled to the other girls. With that they all went through the barrier ad went to find Bloom. Oakley knew where the old shed was because it was right in the middle of the old cemetery and Oakley would always hide in there when she didn't want anybody to find her.
Nobody was brave enough to go that far away from the protection of the barrier and so nobody ever came to find Oakley.
"Uhhh, Oakley? How do you know where you're going?" Musa sounded concerned, as a friend should."I used to go out here a lot to get away from everybody, so I know my way around pretty well." She responded and kept walking to the cemetery. They walked for a good few minutes until they found the fence and the shed inside the perimeter of the fence.
By the time they got there headmistress Dowling was already at the building.
"Girls what on earth are you doing here?! Never mind that, we will talk about it after. Stay out here and look after Bloom when she gets out okay?"She was very strict with her words but she meant well for the girls. Dowlings aim was to make sure that every single person out there was safe and that's what she was doing. Dowling headed inside the building and Bloom almost ran straight into her.
"Don't Stop now." Headmistress Dowling said and pointed towards the door. Not long after bloom was standing in front of us panting and trying to catch her breathe.
"Bloom! Are you okay?" Aisha asked. That was one of the dumbest questions anybody could have ever asked anybody in this situation. She nodded her head while replying.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I uhh, I think so. What the hell was that thing?" She asked and Oakley and Terra were the only two to know what it was."I believe it's called a Burned one." Terra replied and the girls just stared at her.
"A what?" Bloom asked.
"A burned one. Long story that I never wish to tell but will have too later." Oakley summarised for them and they looked back at Bloom."w-wait, where's Stella?" Bloom asked worriedly.
"She's back at the school still, why?" Aisha asked. Now all of them were worried for what she was going to say."That thing just took her ring...." Oh no. This was not going to end well for anybody if they didn't get that ring back.
"Let's just get back to the school. Stella is at the boys dorm with Brandon and she won't be back until tomorrow so you are safe for now." Oakley reassured and so the girls started heading back. The night was eventful for many reasons but mainly bad reasons and none of the girls wanted to talk about it so they walked back to their dorm in complete silence. No doubt they would get an earful from headmistress Dowling in the morning.
None of them were looking forward to it so they stayed up longer than they should so time would be slower. Most of the girls just on their phones, but Oakley went for a walk up to the specialist dorm rooms again, this time hoping to see her brother.
She walked inside the room slowly, making sure that nobody was sleeping before she started talking. Almost all four of the people that were meant to be in there were, except for Riven who was god knows where.
"I just had one of the most horrifying experiences that anybody should have. And as a teenager to, Jesus I must be special. Please let me stay here tonight, I don't want nightmares and I just got an earful from Miss Dowling."
Oakley said and laid down on Sky's bed as he was sat at the foot of it on his phone. Stella and Brandon were on his bed listening to her rant as well.
"What happened for you to have nightmares and get yelled at by headmistress Dowling?" Brandon asked the girl, full knowing that it was something pretty bad."I went to save my friend from a Burned one. Not only did I see her almost die because of it, Dowling saw us and basically went off her head at us about it before I came here." Sky just rubs his sisters back as she closed her eyes and listened to the three of them comfort her.
