Oakley walked over to her brother and she could tell that he was taking everything just as badly as she was. The siblings looked at each other silently and simultaneously agreed that it was time to go inside the greenhouse and see how Silva was doing.

Oakley had no questions for  Professor Harvey as she really did not wish to know too many of the details. Sky on the other hand was very much the opposite. He had many questions in his head that he needed to be answered, whether Professor Harvey had the answers or not.

The two walked through the doors together and both of the professors just stared at the siblings. By their looks, it seemed like things weren't getting any better any time soon.
"How bad is it?" Sky seemed like he couldn't keep in his questions. Professor Harvey took this as a good time to leave the family alone.

Silva didn't respond to the boys question, and we refused to even look at the two of them which signalled that it was getting a lot worse than anyone expected. It also meant that the burned one that did this to them wasn't dead yet.

"Is Professor Harvey going to up your doses of Zanbaq then?" The younger sibling asked him. Her voice cracking and tears threatening to spill from her eyes. She couldn't stand to see Silva looking like this, so she refused to look at him and instead stayed looking at the ground.

"Silva you said it would keep the wounds at bay until-"
"until it can't anymore" Silva finished Sky's sentence for him, still not looking towards either of the kids.
"Look, I can take the first year spars and you can take it easy until the Battalion gets to the- it." Sky was trying to find a way for this to be okay as a coping mechanism.

"Uncle Silva, what's the status?" Oakley asked the man once he was standing up and she neared closed to him. She grabbed his arm gently and made him sit down on another bench nearby, as he was still way to weak to stand up without a cane and things were just getting worse.

"Uhh... They've tracked it 40km north of here, and they'll engage it soon." Silva was trying his best for these kids. He knew how much he meant to them and how much they meant to him was even more. Sky wanted to kill the burned one himself, as it would prove he was brave enough.

"And when they do, are they go-" Sky started but Silva had interrupted him again.
"I have every confidence they will complete their mission. They will kill it." He said and finally looked up from the ground which is where he was looking the entire time.

"The only question is when." Silva said that part seperate from the other, meaning that it was important.
"What do you mean?" Oakley asked him and sat down on the bench next to him while Sky remained standing and staring.

"The uhh, the infection is spreading quickly now." He started and took a deep breathe.
"When it reaches my heart..." He started but had to take another deep breathe. Oakley couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"How long do you have?" Sky was getting impatient, if the battalion didn't fight a burned one soon, then he was going to do it by himself, which would not end well for anyone.
"I don't know." Silva stopped looking the kids in the eyes again. This was beginning to be too much for Oakley, and she didn't really know what to do .

I mean she's never seen someone that means this much to her be injured before, and never this badly either.
"I don't know, not long." Silvas voice was shaky and he was shaking his head while looking back at the ground.

"So, what do we do?" Sky asked with much more anger and volume in his voice. It startled his sister and he tried to give her a comforting look but she wouldn't look at either of them. Instead she stared at the ground as if it were the only thing in her sight, and as if her head couldn't physically be lifted to look at either of them.

Sky on the other hand, began pacing back and forth trying to figure out something to do to help Silva. He couldn't have another family member die, not now.
"Well I've, spoken to the seconds about your training." Silva stood up and walked towards Sky. He was still in so much pain and Sky could see that, but he chose not to look at that part.

"And Dowling is aware of my wishes for your future." The man finished but Sky wasn't happy with the answer he received. It didn't give him anything to go off for what he asked.
"I asked you a question. And what about Oakley, huh? She's taking this so much worse than me." He sturdily said, staring right into Silvas eyes.

"My baby sister is right there, fighting back tears, and ignoring all of her friends because she cares about you so much. She is sacrificing everything to try and help you." At this point in time, Sky was trying his very hardest not to cry in front of Silva, but even for him it was difficult.

"Soldiers need to have these conversations with the people that matter, so we make a plan. That is what we can do." Silva answered Sky's previous question and looked back at the poor girl who was sitting on a bench and on the brink of a mental breakdown.

"There's got to be something else. For yours and Oaks sake." Sky had sadness all over his face.
"We already lost one father, we can't lose another."
"I will keep you updated on the battalions progress, but please keep this from Oakley. I don'y want her stressing out any more than she already is. I've seen how she's been acting and I don't want this to affect her to much."

Silva whispered the parts about Oakley to Sky so that the girl couldn't hear anything, and she was too caught up in her own thoughts that she wasn't even paying attention to theirs.
"I think it's too late for that." The blonde said and looked over at his younger sister.
"Do you understand?" Silva asked and Sky nodded his head.

He walked over to his sister and told her that they needed to leave.
"Bye Uncle Silva. I'll come visit later." She hugged the man loosely as to not hurt his wounds and she walked up to her brother and hugged his waist.

"Can I stay with you for a little while. I don't have any classes and I really don't feel like putting up with you and the boys trying to fight each other. Especially not with everything that's going on." Oakley asked her brother and he just smiled at her.

"Of course you can. Besides, you have to tell me everything that's going on with Sam Harvey." He teased his sister and she just looked at him as if he were crazy.
"How the hell did you find out about that?" She was red and Sky was nearly laughing.
"Oh little sis, I have my ways." He just hugged her tighter and they walked towards the specialist dorms.
