Chapter 10- Impression

*SOMETIME LATER*

While Soldier was still unconscious, Sabriel helped the doctor bandage the injury on the military man, while the rest of the team was making a plan of what to do next. They had to get to the safe room as soon as Soldier wakes up, because the dusk was closing in.

-Vhere did jou learn to bandage zhese vounds like zhat?- Medic asked, impressed by Sabriel's medical skills and knowledge in that regard. 

-Well... I had to patch myself up every time i got hurt, and during times like this it's very useful. Also before the outbreak, I was interested in medicine, so I learned few things.- She explained.

-That's very interesting, Schatz. I am truly impressed by jour skills- Medic admitted. - Haha, thanks, doc. By the way, I really like those nicknames you're giving me.- Sabriel teased.

 W-WAS?... Jou can understand german??- Doctor was clearly shocked and was now a blushing mess.- Yeah, I can actually speak german a bit. I used to speak it a lot in the past, but with time I had no people to talk to, who knew german of course..- She smiled nervously.

 -If jou feel uncomfortable, I can stop vith zhose nicknames.- Medic frowned a bit.- Why, I actually enjoy them a lot- Sabriel smiled and visibly blushed

-So... We can stick to that, Liebling~- She winked at the doctor and left to check up on Raya, leaving flustered German a blushing mess. 

Sniper was observing the girl and the German, and boy was he jealous. He wanted to snatch her from the doctor, kiss her in front of him and rub it in his face. The Aussie kept his cool tho, and approached the female, who was talking to Raya. 

-Heya Sheila, you seem down. Is everything alroight?- Sniper asked, clearly worried about her.

-Hey Snipes, well... Yeah, I'm just worried about Soldier. His state is serious...- Sabriel frowned.

-He'll be foine, don't 'cha worry about that, luv.- Aussie reassured her.

 - I believe so... It's just... I just met you guys and I am already afraid, that during one of those encounters with the infected I'm gonna lose you all. Even if we've known each other for a few days, I've grown attached to you and I simply care about you..- Sabriel sighed and tears started forming in her eyes, as she pet her horse.

 Sniper then hugged her tightly and whispered in her ear:- Don't worry, Roo, we're not going anywhere. We're also sure as bloody hell not leaving you here all by yourself. We're not planning to die either. You won't lose any of us, Oi can promise you that. Don't cry, Oi don't want to see that beautiful face to be stained with tears- He comforted.

Meanwhile Scout decided to go for a walk and check out the nearby buildings. He had to find the location of where the safe room was. Engie had told him to make a map, while he was scavenging through the area for supplies and other useful things like weapons or mechanical parts. Engie had planned to build a portal, which would get them back to their world.

 But to do that, he needed mechanical parts, which could be found in abandoned cars or houses. Apart from that, he needed a lot of time to build the machine. Fortunately, he still had his  blueprints with him, so that would make  his job easier. Tho, he had to work on it for a while, to reprogram the portal so it would teleport more than 4 people at once. Engineer had to keep that in mind, since Scout jumped into the machine and now they also had Sabriel and her horse to take care of. They couldn't just leave the poor girl out here alone, they've grown to like her. Besides, she helped them survive the very first moment they appeared in this wicked world. It would make 6 people and a horse in total.

 But there was one problem. To gain the time he needed, he would have to build the portal someplace safe, which clearly wasn't on the seashore they were at. Engie needed a place, where nothing could attack them for several days. He had to gather everyone to talk to them about his plan, when they'd get to the safe room. It was getting dark and they had to hurry.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Well, it's going faster than I expected. I'm rereading the entire story every time I'm making a new chapter, because I want to make sure, that i make as few mistakes, as possible. Tho, I'm doing a pretty good job, so we can say, that I'm proud of myself. :) Have a great night! ^_^
