Chapter 15- Reunion

-This isn't roight!!!- Sniper scolded himself- We should've fought with Medic to get Sabriel back and we just left them both!!

-Hey, don't beat yourself  up, pardner..- Engie tried to cheer the Aussie up- They might still be alive.

 Scout agreed- Yeah, besides, we didn;t have the resources and strength to fight the dead.

-AFFIRMATIVE!! WE RAN LIKE A BUNCH OF COWARDS! WE COULD FIGHT AND DIE FOR THE GREATER GOOD!- The American yelled.

-Uh...Soldier, you're not helping with that. - The Bostonian said. 

-Eh, Soldier's right, mate..-Sniper teared out. We're the mercenaries! We could've fought those creatures.. Let's just hope that Medic managed to get Sabriel and that they're both fine.- He concluded sadly.

After a moment of silence, Engie suggested checking out the structure, which was now appearing before their eyes as they were slowly approaching it.

Sniper felt very guilty. He promised Sabriel to protect her and he failed to do so. The bushman was praying for her to come back, with or without the Medic. He didn't care for the doctor. In fact, he'd be happy, if the German didn't make it. He was a BLU after all and he also was fighting for Sabriel's heart. All bushman was thinking about, was confessing his feelings to the girl and making up to her for leaving her behind. 

-Hey, it actually looks like a bunker, lad.- Engie said, surprised at the view.

-YAAAAAYYYY!!! LET'S GO INSIDE, MAGGOTS! WE'RE NOT MOVING ANYWHERE ELSE! THIS SHALL BE OUR NEW BASE!!!- Soldier couldn't help himself but salut to the moon and brag about how great America is. Other mercenaries quietly laughed at the American's reaction and began exploring their new shelter. 

*30 MINUTES LATER*

-God damn! This bunker is nearly as big as our base back in Teufort!- Scout exclaimed happily.

-This place is perfect, son!- Engie cheered- Not only is this a safe place, but also it's good enough for me to start building a portal without disturbing to get us back home!

Sniper was silent, he couldn't stop thinking about Sabriel. Was she alive? Was she okay? Did Medic save her? Aussie was also impressed by the place, just like his teammates. But it wasn't as great, as if the girl was there with him. The way she would react to it, how happy she would be about being there with the mercs, safe. Noone would ever have to worry about any more horde attacks. There was also space for Raya to stay, so the animal was also safe. 

The mercenaries started setting stuff down and after getting something to eat and drink, Sniper went outside to keep an eye out for Sabriel and Medic, in case they managed to come back. Engineer started preparing the blueprints and materials to build a portal. Scout and Soldier were playing the Rock-Paper-Scissors game.

*Meanwhile in the shed*

Sabriel woke up slowly and she felt Medic's body warmth behind her. It made her feel comfortable, since the night was pretty cold. As soon as the girl fully awoke, she reminded herself  about what happened a few hours earlier, at night, right after they've escaped the zombies. 

Sabriel flushed deep red. Medic had confessed his feelings to her and she accepted him. But the girl began wondering. Were they a thing now? Though.. The doctor didn't ask her to be his girlfriend or anything, just confessed. Female took a note in her mind to ask Medic about that later, when they both would be safe.

-Taube...?-Medic rubbed his eyes, feeling no presence of the girl near him.

-Good morning, doc- Sabriel smiled at him.

-Good morning, did jou sleep vell? Und how do jou feel?- He asked, as he was now getting up from the floor.- I'm alright and I had a pretty peaceful sleep, thank you. And how about you? - She said.

-It vas alright, danke, Schatz.- Doctor smiled and hugged the girl.

-Huh, Medic seems to act pretty normally, he must've been so exhausted, that he probably doesn't  remember last night's confession...- Sabriel thought.- Oh well, let's just say it didn't happen and move on, I guess- She shrugged. 

Sabriel looked through the small window to see if there are any zombies outside. 

-I think that the coast is clear and we can start moving...- She said. Then the sudden realisation hit her- Waaait a sec. Do I even have any weapons on me, or did I lose everything last night?- Female facepalmed, as she noticed that her bow wasn't there, as well as the arrows.

-Damn...- Sabriel cursed, but then felt some weight on her right hip.-My katana!- She happily cheered in her mind.

Medic hugged the girl from behind and asked if she was ready to head out. -I guess he remembers after all...- She thought.

-Well... I lost my bow and arrows, but I still got my katana, so I think we can proceed. We have to find the others.- She said. 

The German nodded and cautiously opened the door. The two began moving towards the safe room to navigate the bunker from there.

*20 MINUTES LATER*

-Here we are- Sabriel whispered- the safe room is up ahead. Do you rememer the way to our meeting place?- She asked the doctor.

-Ja. Ve must move forward, until ve see a crossroad und zhen ve must turn right into zhe forest.- he said. 

-You're the best, thank you, doc.- Sabriel kissed Medic's cheek, making him blush. 

-Oh I love her so much, she's perfect for me- The German thought.

They continiued moving, avoiding as many Infected as they possibly could. They were only killing when neccessary.

*TIME SKIP BY KAZOTSKY KICK* 

-Ve're here...- Medic whispered, happy that he could see his teammates again, even if some of them were from the RED team. He couldn't contain his excitement anymore and he kissed Sabriel on the lips happily, making her blush hard. 

Sniper was on watch as he noticed two figures, cautiously approaching their base. He took his sniper rifle to look at the individuals through the scope. In an instant, his eyes filled with tears and he ran up to Medic and Sabriel. Aussie couldn't believe his eyes, they made it! The bushman hugged them both and kissed the girl on the cheek, which angered the doctor. After the sweet reunion, he led the two inside, to let the group know, that they're fine.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Yay, everybody is alive and well!  Sabriel is sure, that the Medic loves her, but she isn't sure, whether they're in relationship or no, since the doc was extremely exhausted when he confessed his feelings. Like, seriously. An exhausted peron acts as if they're drunk, so basically they could forget the thing next morning. We'll see what's gonna come up next!
