Mari's POV

Riiiiiiiiiing!!!

"And don't forget to do your 1000 worded essay on Elasticity, which I will be collecting tomorrow!" Ms. Mendeliev said, causing a groan from the class

"Do you want me to make it 2000?" she asked. Silence. "Exactly. Goodbye," she remarked, motioning to everyone to leave.

"Ms. Mendeliev just gets tougher by the session," Alya said.

"Tell me about it. Let's go for lunch," I say

As we walked to the cafeteria, our entire class gathered around a lunch table. Wondering what it was, I walked up to the table, only to find Lila talking to them

"....and when I went to India, I saved a baby from a tiger, but before I could escape, I hit my hand on the wall. I am so grateful to have friends like you that could help me carry my lunch for me," she said with an innocent smile plastered on her face

"But she said that she got that from jumping away from being hit by a plane. Are they seriously eating that up?" asked Alya

"Sadly they are," I replied as I took up ,my napkin to dab on my mouth. Napkin. Lila. Hand. That's it!

"Hey Lila!" I call. "You forgot your napkin!" Then summoning my Ladybug, I threw the napkin towards her, which she caught with her hand.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you had arthritis!" I said, with my innocent look.

When she finally got the gist she was shocked like my classmates, but suddenly she dropped the napkin and cried out in pain.

"When I was in India, I also learned that a folded napkin could take out a person's eye. I couldn't let that happen to Max. Ow!" she winced

"Oh my god, Lila. You saved my eye!" Max exclaimed

"Don't sweat it Max. It was the least I could do for a friend," she said.

"But the dude is literally wearing glasses!" I explained, but my classmates did not listen. Of course they wouldn't! They were busy comforting Lila.

"Guys, I'll be back. I wanna use the restroom," she later said as she carried a bottle of water and drank it while coming my way. And as she-

Wait.

Coming my way? Why is she coming my wa-

And before I could do anything, Lila had 'tripped' and emptied all the water in her mouth and inside the bottle on my body.

"WHAT THE HELL LILA!" I scream.

"Omigod, I am so sorry Marinette. I didn't mean to hurt a friend like you," she said

And that was when I lost it.

I gave her the most vicious slap I had ever given in my entire life. I haven't even slapped a villain half as hard. But considering that this idiot is a villain without a costume-

My thoughts were interrupted as I see Lila melt to the ground and setting off the wonderful water works for the fifth time today.

"Why Mari? Why?" she kept on saying.

Immediately, everyone started to shout at me, calling me things I didn't know my classmates could say.

I then went to the toilet with mixed emotions, anger and frustration topping my list of emotions.

As I tried to dry myself, Tikki came out of my purse.

"I'm so sorry, Marinette. But to be honest you shouldn't have given her such a slap. Goodness, in all my existence, I have never seen a more powerful slap," she said

Before I could reply, the door opened and the she-devil appeared.

"Why are you here?" I ask with a snarl

"Slow down, Mari. I'm just here to-"

"First of all, only my friends call me Mari," I snarl again.

"But we're friends, right?" Are you kidding me?

"We'll only become friends the day you stop lying Lie-la Rossi," I say

"Let me tell you one thing Marinette Dupain-Cheng. In all the schools I have gone to. I have been a goddess. Everyone was at my feet and anyone who threatened my reigned has never lived to tell the story. So I am warning you, Marinette. It is either you are with me or against me. I'll give you to till the end of the day to think about it. And if you decide to go against me, trust me I'll make sure your life is a living hell," Lila says evilly

I could only stare in shock.

She immediately turned from her sinister look to her angel look. "See you around, Mari," she said before giggling and leaving.
