Mari's POV
Yes! Now I will be able to destroy Lila once and for all...
I'm about to accept, but I remember something.
ShadowMoth, I ask, if I become Reine de Verites, doesn't that mean I have to fight Ladybug and Chat Noir?
Adrien's POV
Mari has been in there for a long time now. I am getting worried about her. Especially since she walked in, then Lila went in and came out with an evil smirk on her face.
Oh no, I think. What if Lila upset Marinette and she got akumatised.
My worst fears then materialize as I hear someone say, "ShadowMoth, if I become Reine de Verites, doesn't that mean I have to fight Ladybug and Chat Noir?"
Reine de Verte. Queen of the Truth. Marinette wants to get revenge on Lila. I can't let my Princess get akumatised.
"Mari!" I yell as I run into the bathroom
"Adrien! Help!" Mari calls
ShadowMoth's POV
No! I can't let Adrien stop me.
"Reine de Verte, don't listen to that boy. Sure, you have to get rid of those two jokers," I growl. "But it'll be worth it. After all, Lila will be at your mercy."
"No, ShadowMoth. I don't want to. Stop taking control of innocent people for your own personal gain. I can assure you that if you don't stop, Ladybug and Chat Noir will get you in the end and get your miraculous.
Mari's POV
I then remove my purse (I realize that that is where the akuma was) and rip it into two. I've learnt that Akuma-infested objects are always fragile and easy to damage. The akuma flies out, and I lose connection will the devil of Paris
ShadowMoth's POV
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no time to waste. I can't let Ladybug capture this akuma.
"Fly away from the scene, my dangerous akuma. And find someone with more powerful emotions to join us in our evil quest," I command my akuma
Since I am more experienced with the akumas, I make sure that I don't get the akuma purified. Sadly, the amok runs out of negative energy, and becomes a harmless feather. I have to force Dusuu to teach me how not to accidently purify amoks.
Mari's POV
I suddenly feel limp. But before I fall, Adrien catches me.
"Thanks Adrien," I say
"Sure thing, Princess," he says. "I'll always be your knight in shining leather."
I don't know why Adrien and Chat Noir sound so alike these days. But I know for a fact that they are not the same. Come on, Adrien is the embodiment of perfection and Chat...... he's just Chat.
I suddenly realize something
"Adrien"
"Yes, Mari"
"Why are you in the girl's bathroom?"
Adrien suddenly pales and his cheeks flush in embarrassment. "Sorry, I'll leave now. See you later, Mari," he says before giving me a quick kiss
Ah. Adrien's lips.
I don't realize that I have been looking up at the heavens for another five minutes
"Marinette, focus. An akuma is on the loose," TIkki pointed out
Why, oh why, Tikki. Did you have to make me stop my daydream- "Omigod the akuma!" I shout, realizing.
"Are you sure you want to go out now, Marinette? You just rejected ShadowMoth's power."
Before, I reply, my phone rings.
"Hello Alya," I say. "You don't have to call me, we're in school, remember?"
"Marinette, akuma alert. I didn't get to the scene of the akumatisation on time, so I don't know who is akumatised. I'm currently in the boiler room. Paris needs Ladybug," Alya says
"Sure, I'll soon be there," I say. "Just in case, we also need Rena Futurive," I point out
"You got it, Ladybug," I hear before Alya hangs up.
I look at Tikki. "I guess I don't have a choice, Tikki. Paris before Mari. That's the code."
Tikki grins. "Just say the words, Marinette."
I then call out the words that I have been honoured to say.
"Tikki, Spots on!"
That's it for today. Thank you to everyone who continues to read this.
