"The cherry blossoms mean something, do you know what that is Juno?"
"School is coming around?" The young Juno groaned, she looked up at her dad who was smiling.
"Of course, but that wasn't quite the answer I was expecting." Her dad teased, "They mean fresh starts."
Young Juno looked across the river, her eyes met with those whom she had always recognized, Takashi Mitsuya.
"I soon will have a fresh start, you do understand that, right?" Her dad asked.
Juno nodded, "I'll take good care of Ayumu, I promise." Juno kept her gaze at the boy.
"I trust you." Her father said.
Takashi looked back, and his gaze met Juno's, both faces had turned pink, just as the blossoming flowers above them.
Her father chuckled, "I'm quite sad that I won't see that love develop."
Juno looked down, "He's from school, I'll never have boyfriend, I won't ever fall in love."
'Especially if love means an eventual divorce like yours father.' Juno thought.
"That's what you'll say now Juno!" Her father laughed. "I promise you, you'll find love, it's real."
"Sure I will. I'm too young anyway." Juno remarked.
Her mother approached the young girl and her father, "Time to go, Ayumu go!"
Ayumu walked over to their father, "We'll miss you." The young boy hugged his father, knowing he would most likely never see him again.
"Goodbye, my best boy." The father said, his eyes looked teary, but he wouldn't allow himself to cry.
Ayumu walked to the car where her mother stood by.
"Dad, promise me that you'll have a good fresh start." Juno smiled, although she would
miss her dad, she understood that her father and her mother no longer loved each other."I will." Her dad reassured her, "Juno, promise me that one day you'll allow your heart to blossom with love."
Juno nodded, her father's eyes looked even more watery.
"I won't be able to see you anymore." Her father added.
"I know, it's okay." Juno said.
Her father nodded, "Goodbye, my beautiful girl."
Juno waved, she ran up to her mother's car, she began to yell at the two young kids. Juno didn't bother to listen to her rants, she looked behind the car. The image of her father, he was wiping his face. The cherry blossoms falling down around his silhouette, his outline becoming smaller.
That was the last time Juno had seen her father, her promise still remained in her heart, she would blossom one day.
