i hate attention,
i'm just turning older,
why does it matter

Juno's party was going to be held at her small, quaint little apartment. Juno was looking forward to it, somewhat at least.

"You look decent enough." Ayumu joked.

Juno smiled, "It's a bit tight on the chest, but it's decent enough."

"My beautiful sister." Ayumu wiping his fake tears, "All grown up! She's become a woman! With a man chasing after her!"

Juno teasingly hit Ayumu, "First of all, I am not a woman! I am still a teenager. Second of all! I have no man chasing after me!"

Ayumu held the arm that Juno hit, "So who is Takashi?"

"Mitsuya is my friend, just my friend." Juno mumbled, turning away from Ayumu.

"Is that what your brain tells you to say? Or what your heart says?" Ayumu said, "According to my own knowledge, and my snooping around, there's too much tension between you guys."

"I might like him, don't tell him though." Juno pleaded.

Ayumu chuckled, he gestured that he zipped his mouth before leaving the room.

Juno stood in front of her mirror, looking at the red dress she was wearing, she had to pay a dress her mother had chosen out for her. In fact, Juno had to pay more than half of the party she didn't even want to have.

Her dress was shorter than her uniform skirt, she was afraid of what others would say. Honestly, she didn't feel secure in what she was wearing. But since mother knows best, she had to suck it up.

Juno walked out her room, looking at the empty apartment, without the furniture it did look bigger, it was at a storage facility where they would store it for one night.

The balloons were colorful, Juno smiled at them, knowing that Luna and Mana would love them. There was foldable chairs everywhere, just a few families would come but it was enough to fill in the apartment.

Juno went over to the kitchen, she opened the fridge, where the cake sat in. It was red with pretty detailing on it, she had been able to choose it, it looked delicious. Inside the fridge, there was sodas, juices, beers and water bottles, because other than that, the fridge stays empty.

Juno's mom walked in with Ayumu, holding gray trays, that were filled with food. They placed them on the kitchen counter, Juno was in charge of attending guests and feeding them.

Each tray was labeled, white rice, gyozas, takoyaki, chicken curry, tempura, chilaquiles, and carne asada. The smell was appetizing, Juno's mouth watered, until her stomach churned.

"It's just one day right?" Juno thought, "One day doesn't do damage..."

"Juno! Snap back! I can't have you distracted today." Juno's mother scolded.

"I know." Juno mumbled.

"Go over the invites, refresh my memory."

Juno reached for the lined paper that had the list of everyone coming, Juno's mother was filling a bowl of candy.

"Matsuno family, Chifuyu my cousin and my aunt. Deyama family, Daiya, her brother and her parents. Sakura and her boyfriend." Juno said.

"Remind me who's Sakura."

"You invited her." Juno mumbled under her breath, "Sakura used to work with you when you cleaned buildings."

"Ah yes."

"Sato family of 6, 2 parents, 3 teenagers and 3 children. Hirota family of 5, 2 parents, 3 children." Juno said, "You met the Sato father at a bar, you helped him rebuild his marriage with his wife. You met the Hirota mother at the office." Juno explained.
