24. warmth

The moon sat on the clear night sky, perfect for the fireworks in celebration of the New Year. Juno was with Chifuyu and Takemichi, as well as Ayumu. Talking before the rest of Toman arrived.

"No luck with the ladies again." Chifuyu complained, "Every goddamn year. I fucking hate my luck."

"Maybe if you got your shit together Chifuyu, you would have a girlfriend." Juno snorted.

Ayumu laughed, "If you were any good at flirting, maybe you would've gotten some hoes at least."

"Even Takemichi had a girlfriend, and ain't no one expect that." Juno smiled. "Especially a girl like Hina."

"Before you start talking about my lame love life, do not forget about yours Juno." Chifuyu said, "You confessed your love to Mitsuya, and it's mutual."

Juno nodded, "So?"

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GUYS ACTUALLY WAITING FOR? DATE ALREADY!" Chifuyu yelled out, clearly enraged at the situation not being taken seriously.

Ayumu choked, "Just because you read romance mangas, it doesn't mean everything rolls so smoothly." Ayumu paused, "Takashi has to ask her out first."

"Takemichi, are you gonna fucking say something? You're supposed to be my partner!" Chifuyu said, punching the blonde boy.

"Chifuyu, just be quiet." Takemichi giggled, "You're loosing in every way."

Everyone roared in laughter, as Hina approached the group. Juno envied her a little, she was so effortlessly pretty and girly. She was an amazing person though.

"What'd I miss?" She asked, hugging Takemichi.

"Not much." Ayumu commented. "Unless you wanna hear us summarize the flaming Chifuyu just went."

"Matsuno, you'd ought to learn how to defend yourself." Hina commented.

"You've grown up with us, and still don't know how to defend yourself." Juno said, locking her right arm onto Chifuyu's neck, bringing him down to her level.

"Juno!" Chifuyu snickered. "Stupid girl."

"Stupid boy." Juno teased, letting go.

Soon Draken and Mikey arrived, Juno was a bit worried that Takashi wasn't showing up. They had taken a while to get here.

"Whatcha worried about Junior?" Mikey asked, teasing Juno for being worried.

Juno shook her head, "It's nothing."

Mikey sighed, "Mitsuya isn't here yet."

Juno laughed, "How'd you know?"

"All you do is worry about him." Mikey said, he seemed a bit gloomy. "I get it though, you've liked the dude for years."

"Yeah. I have." Juno said quietly, tension was building between the two.

"Junior, I'm going to tell you something but I know you won't really... You know?" Mikey paused, "It shouldn't matter to you because it's something silly."

Juno nodded, "Go ahead."

Suddenly, two familiar voices were heard. Squeaky kid voices, Luna and Mana. Then appeared Takashi, Hakkai and Yuzuha.

"Speak of the devil." Mikey mumbled, turning to Juno, who was no longer beside him but now quickly approaching the lilac haired dude.

"You beat me Mitsuya." Mikey sighed, walking to Draken.

"You look a bit sad Mikey." Draken said.

Mikey shook his head, "Of course not, I think it's better if I kept my feelings to myself."
