it's been a week since I've lived with the Sanos. since I didn't expect ever living here, I didn't pack my things or take my savings with me the night Takashi got me out. it made me feel like such a burden since my clothes were borrowed from Emma's and the others were newly bought using their money as well.

I plan to go back to my house to take my things and money when Kisaki and Hanma's not there. the only way for me to know that though is through the bug I planted on the former's glasses, but my device was still in my school locker—I haven't been to school for days so I could never get the chance to track Kisaki's movements.

on the night of my arrival here, Mikey treated me very well. he hung out with me until early dawn, asking me about what happened. I told him the same things I told Takashi, but their reactions were different. while Takashi told me to rely on him as much as I wanted, Mikey remained silent offering me no words. I didn't mind, it was enough that he listened.

he then woke me up for breakfast which gave me the wrong idea that he was a morning person.

"so, did you run away because your parents are against my grandson being your boyfriend?" his grandfather asks with a pleasant smile.

Mikey and I both choke on our food. Emma laughs from across me as a piece of food got stuck in my throat and I kept on coughing. Mikey sits beside me, looking at me in confusion as if he had never seen someone choke before.

"what's wrong with my grandson?" Grandpa huffs, "your parents should be happy. although he is a bit on the immature side, I see that."

I kept on coughing as he talks like I wasn't dying in front of him with food stuck in my windpipe. Mikey still stares horridly at me.

"Emma how do we fix her?" he asks, patting my back hesitantly.

"here, water," Emma laughs as she hands him a glass.

Mikey gets it and hands it to me, still patting my back. "oy, that's enough," he says as he now rubs circles on my back. as if my choking would stop by you saying that.

once I calmed down, grandpa couldn't even wait a second before he nags me again.

"when Mikey's of age maybe you should move in together, don't mind your parents. love comes first."

"grandpa, Mikey's not my boyfriend," I sigh, elbowing Mikey who just ate and didn't bother to correct him.

"eh? I thought?" he asks, looking at Mikey who carelessly ate away. "Mikey said..."

I raise a brow and look at Mikey, his cheek circled from all the food in his mouth. he gulps it all down and looks at me, tilting his head.

"I only told him you're here because your parents kicked you out, not the girlfriend part," he defensively says, although I had a feeling he was lying.

"Izumi, let's head out together," Emma grins at me.

"yeah, I'll have to go early too since my uniform's still in my locker."

"eh? you're not going to school today," Mikey tugs at the bottom of my shirt before I could fully get up.

"why?"

"you need to come buy things with me, right grandpa?"

"yes, yes. I'll go open the dojo now, the money's by the mirror," he smiles as he leaves, looking at Mikey and me, "it's nice to be young."

we went to three stores for pillows, blankets, and bed covers. Mikey insisted on buying these things because he thinks that the room I stayed in was practically uninhabitable since it wasn't maintained. I protested a few times, but he pretended not to hear me.
