I woke up Monday morning, feeling so refreshed its like i have not slept in days. I take my phone from the table that was next to the bed.I checked it, and i have about 30 missed calls from my mother, 20 from Mike. What's going on? So, i decide to call back.

Tania and Mike convo

" You finally decide to call back?" Mike asked angry

" Sorry, i went to sleep early, and I did not hear my phone ringing." i replied honestly

" Well, I heard what happened between you and dad. You should have just apologized." he said

" I am not going to apologize, for something I did not do. If dad wants it to be like that between us. Then it is what it is. I am done sucking up to him." I replied bluntly

" Where you staying?" he asked

" I am with J for now, I will go apartment searching soon though."i replied

" Mom was crying so much when I came home, and she was blaming dad for everything." he informed me

" Wow, so now she wants to yell at him and etc, now that I am gone?" I asked annoyingly

" Look T, you know they love you its just your their only girl, so they want to protect you." Mike said softly

" Mike, I am a grown woman now, I am a lawyer, and a very successful one at that. What else do they want from me. They have been on me all my life about everything and anything I wanted to do, so they want to choose my man for me too!?" I yelled

" Calm down T, I just want you to becarful out there, I will always be your brother, and I will love you the same way no matter what." he informed me

"Thank you Mike, I know you will be there for me at least. Hopefully they don't ban you from speaking to me too." I said chuckling

" Nah, they won't even try." he said chuckling

"Well, Mike I am about to get ready for work, thanks for the call, I love you." i said to him

" No problem sis, love you too I'll check on you later" he siad

" Aight bye." I said

" Later" He said

I hunged up, and check the time it was 10am, I had to be at the office at 11:30am. I went through my luggages and put together a simple outfit for the day. Took, my pjs off, grabbed my towel and toothbrush and went straight to the bathroom. After comin out of the shower, i went and lotioned my body , and put my clothes on, put my hair in a bun, and applied little to no makeup. Then i made my way downstairs.

" Goodmorning boo" Jamila said smiling at me

" Goodmorning hun, how did you sleep?" I asked her

" Great, you look like you slept well." she said with a smile

" I did." i said with a smile

I looked at my watch and it said 11am

" Well boo, i have to go I'll just grab a muffin and coffee on my way there. I'll see you later." I said as a hugged jamila

" OK girl, have a good day. You better be ready to party later." she said with a smirk

" I got you, bye boo" I said as a shut the door

I got into my car, and stop at the nearest Starbucks, and got my muffin and mocha frape. I ate it on my way to work. Then I arrived at work.

At Work

As a entered the building, i was gretted with smiles, hellos, and goodmornings. I am very respected at this firm, because i am one of the few female lawyers. However, most of the men challenged me alot, but I know most of them just wants to have sex with me lol. As, I made my way to my office my assistant Jasmine was there waiting for me.

" Goodmorning Ms. Brown" she said with a smile

" Goodmorning Jasmine" I replied with a smile

" Ms.Brown, you have a very busy schedule today. You have about 10 clients coming to see you today." she informed me

" No problem, when is the first one coming?" I asked

" You have an 11 o'clock, which should be here by 5 mins. Let me go check to see if he is here. She said as she maid her way to the door

As I was waiting for Jasmine, i decided to look through some files. Then i heard my door open slighty.

" Ms.Brown, your 11 o'clock is here, is it ok if he comes in?" she asked

" Yes,no problem." I said while fixing my self a bit

" Ms.Brown, this is Chris Carter. Chris Carter this is Ms.Brown." she said introducing us

I was a bit shocked, it did not expect him to be sexy. We just stared at each other, and Jasmine just stood there looking at us back and forth.

" Um...Hello my name is Tania Brown." I said with a smile reaching for a hand shake

" Hello, My name is Chris Carter." he replied with a smile shaking my head and slowly pulled away as he stared into my eyes

" Okay, Jasmine I can take it from here." I told jasmine with a smile

" Ok Ms.Brown." she said with a smirk then left out the door

" So, how may I help you today Mr.carter?"I ask politely

" I heard about you from many people, from what I've heard you win every case." she said with a smile

" Well, I am happy that I am being spoken about in a positive way." I said blushing looking down

" You are a very beautiful woman, Ms. Brown." he said staring into my eyes

" Thank you... I have'nt heard that in a long time." i said mumbling the last part

" Well, even if you have not heard that in a long time , i will make it my duty that you hear it everyday." he said with a reassuring smile

" Well, I am a woman of business, and I would like to keep this strictly professional, if you don't mind sir." I said looking straight into his eyes

" Sorry if i offended you, I just like to be honest." he said

" Its okay, now tell me what your case is." i asked with a holding my pen ready to write on my note pad

" Well I had, an altercation with someone and he is trying to press charges against me." he said

"Well, what was the reason for the altercation?" i asked

" I was at my younger sisters birthday party, she just turned 21. He was there trying to get at my sister, i ignored it thinking it was nothing. However, a few minutes later I heard someone yelling, i turned around and it was my little sister and the man. I went and grabbed him off, he pushed me and i just lost it." he said before shrugging his shoulders
