Sorry this update took so long. I've been busy and I had just got done with theater camp. Then I had band camp. And now school is starting, but I should be able to have more consistent updates though (fingers crossed).

Thank you for all the support. It really made me feel seen and someday I hope to be a published author. Share with your friends if you think they'd like it!

Without further ado, enjoy the last part to this story (not the book, just the Traveler section).

Y/n POV

Millions of thoughts raced my mind and I felt all the heat drain from my face. I hesitated.

"I... um, well... It's like this-" I tried stuttering out my words, but Bash cut me off.

"If you're worried about us turning you in, I promise you we don't care. We all have our reasons for being here. We were just wonderin'." Gilbert nodded in agreement. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"No, you deserve an explanation. My parents died from an infection last year, and I just couldn't stand being in that house all alone anymore. I didn't have food or money; I only had this... this cloud of sadness covering me. I got dressed as a man and began working in the shipyard. It gave me a feeling of relief and happiness. I decided I wanted to travel and boarded this boat. You know the rest." They stood, shocked. I continued walking back to the steamer, wishing they wouldn't see me any different. They raced to keep up with me. Gilbert asked,

"Well, what is your real name?" I turned to face them and shook their hands.

"I'm Y/n, Y/n Y/l/n. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"The pleasure is all mine." Gilbert replied. That night I dreamed of Gilbert saving me from a shipwreck and bringing me back to shore. I woke up and looked around, trying to figure out the time. Nobody else was awake yet, luckily for me. I climb the ladder onto the deck and peaked through the hatch. The sun was beginning to rise, so I took the time to get changed and wait for everyone else to wake up.  The men began to wake up and the ship set sail to go back to Charolette town.

Once we dock, Bash and Gilbert planned to fix up their farm, but I was going back to my home. Maybe I could get some extra money disguised as a boy or I could get a job at a dress shop as myself. God, I don't want this to end...

~Two Months Later~

My hair is much longer (almost to my shoulders) and I've begun wearing dresses again, much to my dismay. I've done odd jobs here and their, but I don't need too much money anyway. The porch railing gave out the other day, so I came to a hard wear store to get some parts to fix it up. (idk if this is thing that was around back then, but just roll with it)

"Will this be all, ma'am?" asked the man standing behind the counter.

"Yes, that's all."

"So, what's a young lady like you doin' with things like these?" he asked as he put in the prices.

"The railing on my porch broke, so I have to fix it before spring."

"I could always help you." A familiar voice from behind me said. I spun around to face him.

"Gilbert." I whispered. I raced up to him and threw my arms around his neck, crushing him in a bear hug. He held me close by my waist until we finally pulled away.

"What, no hug for me then?"

"Bash!" I yelled as I hugged him. I was sure everyone in the store was looking at us but I didn't mind. "I'll meet you guys outside." I said as I finished paying for my things. I walked outside and waited for them to finish getting what they needed, but I never stopped smiling. I heard the bell on the door ring. I turned around and saw them walking to me.

"If your train doesn't leave soon you could come for tea at my home. Only if you'd like of course." I offered. They nodded and I led the way to my home.

~Time skip (you're home)~

We walked into the large home. I sighed as I set down my supplies from the store (the Gilbert graciously offered to carry, but I refused). They dusted off their boots and came in. Since I'd been back I had began to fix up the place. There were new curtains and the floors were swept (though the boards creaked when you stepped on them wrong. I even had new chairs and a dining table. It was empty and lonely, though. I put up the water to boil and we sat at the table.

"So, how have you been?" I asked.

"We want you to live with us." Bash said sternly, ignoring my previous question.

"Alright." I replied, "This place is so sad anyway. Why not? Just give me a minute to pack." They looked at eachother and looked back at me. I stood and began grabbing things off of shelves and putting them in a suit case. I walked up the stairs to the rooms and put all the valubles and my clothes in the suit case, too. When I came down the stairs, Gilbert was there and he took my bag. And that's the story of how your father and I met." I said to our daughter, Sylvie. She smiled up at me as my wonderful husband, Gilbert, walked in from chopping wood. I knew that this family would last forever.

Horrible ending lol but I hope you liked the story! Remember to request if you want! Thanks for so much support! Lots of love <3
