Some background info for y'all :)

Who is Rocky you may ask?

Well, Rocky is trusted friend to Lauren. He was a tough Australian boxer in his earlier years, now he has taken Lauren under his wing, guiding her and training her in NYC. He has some shady connections with some underworld folk, who are linked to criminal enterprises in New York.

The reason why Lauren is so hesitant with this tournament is because these tournaments are well-known to be so violent that hospitilisation is a common outcome for fighters, but she trusts Rocky that she would never come to that. Not only that, but it's the fricken underworld, no-one can be trusted.

Lauren's POV

I open my eyes on her chest, and realise the cuddle we are tangled up in. I smile at our position, savour it for a few moments, then wriggle out of her grip slowly so the goddess doesn't wake.

After putting on a spare hoodie, I lay my boxing hoodie beside her knowing that she will put that on when she wakes. I start my usual mornings with a plate of Lucky Charms cereal, but with Camila Cabello over, I'm thinking I'd step up my breakfast this time around. I turn on the radio and pull out my waffle press.

Radio Commentator: "...keeping on Top of Pop Culture"

Usually when I hear this segment on the radio, I change it. As I was about to flick to another channel I hear, "Camila Cabello is seen at New York airport arm in arm with a girl? Who is this girl you may ask, well we don't know. She was also spotted in central New York walking with Camila, and fans speculate this might be a new fling. Will this mysterious girl accompany her to her concert tonight here in New York City? I guess we'll see, now handing it back to Stace with an update on..."

*Flicks radio off*

I don't really know how I feel after listening to that. It kind of feels a bit invasive toward my personal life, hopefully fans of Camila's arn't lining up out of my apartment building... I know they do it for the best intentions, but I wouldn't like all that attention. It isn't my thing, but I guess I have to get used to it, now that I'm involved with Camila.

Now thinking about it, I don't know what it means to be 'involved' with her, I don't know what we are as of yet. I don't want to rush anything, but deep down I know what I want.

To call her mine.

I'm a big believer that, in due time things will fall into place. I know it will.

After plating both plates with waffles, I sprinkle the icing sugar to perfection and leave it on the dining table for when Camila wakes up.

Just as I do that, my phone starts ringing. It's Rocky. I pick up after the first ring, to hear his Aussie voice loud and clear.

"Lozza! Welcome back to New York, how ya feeling, how's Chris?"

I smile, knowing that every interaction with him was amusing in every way, "Hey Rockster, thanks for calling me up. I'm okay considering what happened, because I know that Chris is doing well. He was healing great."

"Good to hear mate, good to hear. Now I know I scared ya when I told you to come back to New York, but I had to do what I had to do. The grind doesn't stop for you, you know that right?"

Knowing he had changed the tone of the conversation, I knew he meant well for rushing me home. But I was curious why it was so urgent.

"I totally get it Rock."

"Good mate, I'm glad we're on the same page. So, the reason I rushed ya back home was because there's this underworld tounament my good fella Salvatore has been looking into..."
