Bound To You- [R.C]

✧*̥˚Chapter 11*̥˚✧

IT'S THE NEXT DAY and I'm getting ready to hang out with the pogues. I pull on a pale pink ribbed tube top and shorts co-ord and then I apply some mascara and lipgloss in the mirror. On my way out I grab an apple to eat on the way there and say goodbye to Sarah. I pull on my high top converse and leave through the back door.

Once I reach John B's house, I let myself in and walk through to the kitchen, helping myself to a can of coke.
"Look who finally decides to show up" JJ smiles at me, as I'm walking out into John B's backyard. He runs up to me and picks me up into a hug.
"I've been staying at Sarah's, family troubles" I tell the group.
"You better be careful, you'll be turning into a kook sooner or later" Kie shoots at me.
"Never" I say, cracking open my coke.

We spend the day lounging around, drinking and taking in the sunshine. JJ's face is red raw with sunburn.
"You should've worn sunscreen" I moan at him.
"Sorry mom" He laughs.

I run up to John B's bathroom and grab some aloe vera to put on JJ's sunburn.
As I'm leaving the bathroom I look up and John B's stood in front of me.
"Hey" I smile at him.
"Hey. Quick question for ya" He says.
"Shoot" I answer him, wondering what he's about to ask me.
"Has something happened between you and JJ? Like a drunken kiss or something?" He asks me, a worried look on his face.
"No why would you ever think that?" I try to stop myself from laughing at the thought of JJ and I ever kissing.
"Well he's been missing you loads, talking about you a lot. I was just wondering if something had happened and you were avoiding us for it" He explains.
"No. You've got it so wrong" I laugh, fiddling with my ring.

I run back outside to JJ with the aloe vera after sun.
"You'll never guess what John B just asked me" I say, JJ wincing as I rub the aloe vera onto his sunburn.
"What did he ask you Evie? Also lay off a little you're hurting me" He complains.
JJ has called me Evie for as long as I remember, but it's the first time I've heard him use it in a while. My heart fills and I realise how much I've missed being with him everyday.
"He asked me if anything had happened between us, any drunken kiss" I bite my bottom lip containing my laughter. JJ bursts out laughing.
"Why would he think that?" He asks me.
"He said you've said you've been missing me" I tease, jabbing him in the ribs. "And thought that's why I had been 'avoiding' you" I explain to him.
"And have you been avoiding us?" His smile
drops a little.
"Of course not JJ, I've just had family troubles and I've  staying at the Cameron's." I rest my head on his shoulder.

A few moments pass and before I can say anything else JJ catches me off guard with what he says next.
"Besides, everyone knows you're head over heels for Rafe Cameron" He teases, fake swooning.
"What? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!" I snap at him.
"Evie, cmon" He whispers to me.
"JJ, he's my best friends older brother, why an earth would I like him?" I try to think how JJ could ever think such a thing.
"Because he's so mysterious. You lurrrrrv it" He teases again.
"Fuck off" I say, turning around from him.
"Just admit it to me Evie, I know you better than anyone else" His voice is serious now.
"I would rather kiss you than EVER be involved with Rafe Cameron" I snap at him, storming off. I can't believe my closest friend could ever be so wrong about something. But was he wrong?

I'm sat on the edge of John B's bed as JJ enters the room. I turn my head away from him. He comes and sits next to me.
"I'm sorry Eve, if you say you don't like Rafe, then you don't like Rafe. I must've imagined it" He whispers, kissing my shoulder.
I try to stay mad but it doesn't work, I turn around and face him, blowing a raspberry at his face.

I feel the cold ocean breeze on me as I'm sat at the edge of the pier, dipping my feet into the sea. I decided to make a stop while on my way back to the Cameron's house.
I can hear the music from a beach party not far away from where I'm sat.
"Could you be loooooooved" I turn around and of course, Rafe Cameron is at the other end of the pier singing his heart out.
I laugh to myself.

"Hi" I say, finally making my way to the other end of the pier.
"Fuck did you get here?" He asks, genuine confusion on his face.
"I was at the end of the pier, could hear your singing all the way back there" I smirk at him.
"Could you be loooooved" He starts off singing again, slurring his words. He grabs my hands, trying to dance with me and twirling me round. Deja vu much.
"You're fucked out of your mind" I laugh.
"Yup" He says, and I see that smirk in the corner of his mouth.
"I'm taking you home" I tell him, grabbing one of his arms and pulling it around my shoulder.

Authors note-
Sorry I feel like these chapters are so boring and repetitive, they're just fillers as when I first wrote this book I feel like I rushed into it way too much. Hope you're enjoying the story so far and let me know what parts you liked, any constructive criticism is welcome.
