Bound To You- [R.C]

✧*̥˚Chapter 50*̥˚✧

I TAKE A STEP BACK IN SHOCK.
"Are you okay?" Rafe whispers as we rub our eyes.
"Yes. I think so." I answer him as he walks over and hugs me so tight I feel like I might explode.
"Rafe." I whisper.
"Yes princess?" He says staring into my eyes.
"Whatever happens. I love you." I tell him, grabbing his hand as we run up the narrow stairs.

We run up to the top of the boat where Pope and another girl are, the two of us crouching down and hiding behind a barrier.
I look up at what the crane is holding onto, and the cross glistens in the sunlight.

"No no no no!" Rafe shouts running over to the middle of the boat to grab the rope that the dark skinned girl has dropped.

I watch from the barrier as the cross falls down from the crane it's attached to.

Rafe's still holding onto the cross as it falls down, trying to pull it back up.
"Help!" Rafe shouts and everybody runs in to help him out including me.
I pull the rope as hard as I can hoping I'll have some kind of impact. We somehow manage to pull up the cross with the whole crews help.
I watch as a smile forms in the corner of Rafe's mouth.

We run over to the edge of the boat, watching the pogues as they ride off on a lifeboat.
"Where are they even gonna go?" I say, panicking as to what will happen to them.
As much as they hate me and Rafe, they were still my friends and I would never want anything bad to happen to any of them.

I watch Rafe as he grabs a gun from some crew mate.
"Rafe what are you doing?" I shout to him.
We make eye contact before he shakes his head and tries to aim properly.
"Rafe! please!" I scream at him, he winces as we watch John B get the engine going before putting the gun down, panting.
I run over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I knew you wouldn't do it." I whisper into his ear. I feel his tears soak through my hoodie.

We're back on the boat now making our way to the Bahamas.
"How is he?" Rose asks the med.
"He's stable. He's sleeping." The med answers her question.
"Can I see him?" Rafe asks, I tighten the grip of his hand that I'm holding.
"Let me talk to him." Rafe whispers to Rose, before walking in.
I follow in a couple minutes after and speak to Ward, even though deep down inside me it's the last thing I wish I was doing.

Me and Rafe decide to go back to our room for the remaining hours.

We're both lay down on one of the narrow couches on the boat, everything that's happened in the day going round in my head. Over and over.

I sit up, pulling my head from Rafe's lap.
"What's up?" He asks me.
"When we get to this new place, we need a fresh start. I don't know how much longer I can put up with all this shit, Rafe." I explain to him.
"Okay baby, I need to finish what I have started though." He answers me.l, fiddling with the ring on his finger.
"You are literally all I have, I cannot lose you as well." I say, feeling tears forming in my eyes.
"I'm sorry, I love you baby." Rafe says, pulling me in for a hug.
"I love you so much." I say, pulling away to kiss him.
