Bound To You- [R.C]

✧*̥˚Chapter 30*̥˚✧

THE NEXT MORNING I wake up before Rafe and go eat breakfast with Sarah.
On my way back up to the room Rafe is still asleep so I leave him to rest.
I grab a post it note from his desk and write onto it 'gone back home to get ready for midsommars. see you soon'

I step out the door, grabbing my skateboard and making my way home.

When I get home I let myself in and run upstairs to my room. I scavenge through my wardrobe trying to find something to wear but there's nothing fancy enough. I decide to go check my mums wardrobe instead as I know she has lots of silk dresses. Walking over slowly I open the door and step inside. I haven't been inside since she left. I walk over to her wardrobe and open the door expecting to see all of her beautiful dresses but the whole cabinet is empty. That's weird.
I run over to her chest of drawers and frantically open them all up to be greeted by multiple empty draws. I slump down against the wall and rest my head in my hands.

I hear his car pull up onto my drive and the door open before Rafe runs up the stairs.
"I'm in here!" I shout to him.
I hear the door creak open and I look up at his worried face.
"Eve? What are you doing in your mums room?" He asks me.
"She's gone for good. Everything's gone." I sob.
Rafe crouches down in front of me cupping my face in his hands as he wipes my tears away.
"It's gonna be okay baby." He whispers to me, resting his forehead against mine.

"Come on." Rafe says.
"What?" I answer him, sniffling.
"I'm taking you shopping." Rafe says, holding his hand out to help me up.

WE GET BACK TO THE CAMERON'S house and I knock on Sarah's door.
"Come in" She says.
"Hi" I say back letting myself into her room.
I pull out the green satin dress that rafe bought me and slip into it.
"Holy shit Eve, you look amazing!" Sarah says.
"Thank you so much" I answer her, twirling around with the flowy dress spinning around.
I let Sarah do a full glam look on me and flutter my eyes in the mirror admiring the reflection.
"Gorgeous" She smiles while reaching into her draw for a flower crown.
I place it onto my head and support my hands under my chin grinning wildly.
"This feels so weird. I have never worn a full face of makeup and these lashes are weighing me down." I say, pretending that I don't feel amazing.

Sarah and I start to make our way out and as I start to walk down I see Rafe stood there.. along with Topper?
"What's he doing here?" I whisper to Sarah trying not to let Topper hear.
"He doesn't exactly know about John B" She whispers back, looking away.
"Sarah!" I whisper, shocked.
"Dad told me to leave it for tonight. It's a big night for my family they don't want any teenage drama." She smiles weakly at me before we reach the bottom of the stairs.

I look at Rafe, he's wearing a light blue suit with his hair slicked back.
"My pretty girl." Rafe grins at me, placing his hand onto his heart. He places his hands around my waist and whispers in my ear, "You're the most beautiful girl in the world" softly.
"Not even close." I laugh wrapping my arms around his neck.
"It's the truth." He says, taking my hand and twirling around.

We make our way out into the garden which is full of people chatting and dancing to the music. I spot Kie and Pope at the edge of the decking and wave.
"I'm gonna go say hi to Kie and Pope." I tell
Rafe kissing him on the cheek as I run off.
"You look awesome Eve." Pope smiles.
"You really do look amazing." Kie adds.
"Aw thank you guys, you both clean up well too!" I laugh.
We make our way to the dance floor grabbing a drink off a waiter on the way. I look for Rafe but there's no sign of him so I just assume he's off with his friends.
As I turn around to join the others my eyes flicker to JJ's.
