I remembered I had a bit of money left from the pizza we got with basil so I stopped at Hobbeez to buy Hero something.

"I wonder If Hero is still into cooking..." 

[Kel grabbed a cookbook] 

I hope he likes it.

{Outside} 

I start walking home, I saw Kim and Aubrey going into Ginos pizza. I decided to not bother them. 

I should leave Aubrey Alone for a while. 

I continue walking home. I thought I saw a creature behind me. 

I started walking faster. It was a dark, shadow-like thing. It had a giant eye in the middle of its figure.

I finally get home. I say hi to mom and go to my room.

I see Hero in his bed. he turned his back to the door of the room.

"Hey Hero. I got you something from Hobbeez. You don't have to say thanks or pay me back. It's a gift. I'll leave it on your desk and I'll go play with sally so you can have some privacy."

I don't know if he was trying to hide it, but you could hear him crying.

[Kel leaves the book on heros desk]

I left the room and walked to the living room to play with sally and Hector.

Heros POV

I hope Kel didn't hear me crying. 

[Hero gets up and grabs the book] 

Kel got me a cooking book. The cover is Mari's favorite food. 

[A small smile forms on heros face as he grabs something from his desk. It's a photo of him and Mari that basil took.]

I miss you Mari.
