Everyone was in the great hall when Goyle was talking about being terrified out of his mind. Saying that Buckbeak attacked him without probable reason, how Y/N threw a man eating book at him without reason, and how he intended to leave Care for Magical creatures since it was the cause for all of it.

Malfoy and Crabbe were keeping their distance from him. They were planning their trip to Hogsmeade while Goyle decided to take his own trip.

Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and Y/N were just in hearing range. At the Gryffindor table. "Listen to him, he's really laying it on thick, isn't he?" Ron asked.

"He's lying about all of it. Y/N threw the book to stop Goyle from attacking, and Hagrid told us not to offend a Hippogriff, or we could die." Ginny said.

"Well at least Hagrid didn't get fired." Harry said. "Yeah, but I heard that Draco's father is furious, we haven't heard the end of this." Hermione said.

"It proves to me that what Malfoy said about his father is true." Y/N told them. Just then a student was rushing to the table with a copy of the daily prophect. "He's been sighted, he's been sighted." "Who?" Ron asked. "Sirius Black."

The others went to get a closer look. "Duff town, that's not far from here." Hermione said. "You don't think he'll come to Hogwarts, do you?" Neville asked. "There's dementors at every entrance." A student said. "Dementors, he's already slipped past them once, who's to say he won't do it again." Seamus said reminding everyone. "That right, Black could be anywhere. It's like trying to catch smoke, trying to catch smoke with your bare hands." Another student said.

Harry looked intensely at the picture. His thoughts lost in it.

Defense against the dark arts was next, and everyone got in after some time. Inside was one desk and a wardrobe compared to the usual desks. Everyone gathered around it when Lupin was in the room.

"Would anyone like to venture a guess as to what is in there?" Lupin asked. "That's a bogart." A student said. "Very good, now can anyone tell me what a bogart looks like." Lupin said.

"No one knows, bogarts are shape shifters, they take the shape of whatever a person fears the most, that what makes them so-" Hermione said, but was interrupted by Lupin. "Terrifying, yes luckily there's a spell to counter it, let's practice it now. Without wands please, repeat after me, riddikulus." "Riddikulus."

"Very good, but the incantation alone won't be any good. For it to work, you need to make it assume a for you find amusing. For example, Neville step forward please." Lupin explained.

Neville did so and Lupin continued, "Now what frightens you most." "Professor Snape." He told him. "Ah yes, he frightens all. Now I believe you live with your Grandmother." "Yes, but I don't want that Bogart to turn into her either." "It won't, now when that boggart comes out, here's what I want you to do." He walked over to Neville and whispered instructions in his ear.

"Do you think you can do that?" He asked the young Gryffindor. Neville nodded. Lupin walked over to the wardrobe and opened it up. Professor Snape stepped out. Neville hesitated. "Concentrate Neville, concentrate."

"Riddikulus." Snape's normal clothes then changed into a dark green dress with a red handbag and a hat with a big bird attached to it. Y/N approached his friend and clapped him on the shoulder. "Bravo, Neville bravo." He said.

Neville felt proud of himself for this. Everyone in Gryffindor clapped. Malfoy and Crabbe were impressed with Neville for mustering his courage. Goyle thought it was dumb luck.

"Excellent Neville, head for the back. Now everyone form a line, and first I want you to think of the thing you fear the most, and then turn it into something funny." Lupin said
