Snow blanketed the grounds at Hogwarts. Harry would have tried his animagus form, but Y/N said that he should wait until he gets word from Arthur about it being legal.

The students went on their way to Hogsmeade when Y/N showed Harry the Marauder's map. He told him how it works and how to make it work.

"Those weasels, they never told me about that map." Ron said. "You might want to hand that in. At least if you do, Sirius Black can't find you both." Hermione said. "I can hang on to it, at least I have a good place to hide it." Ginny said.

"Since you and Hermione are soul bond to us, you are already in Black's cross hairs." Y/N pointed out.

Once they arrived, the group went to the three broomsticks to warm up. Y/N decided to try a butterbeer, and found it to be delicious.

"You might want to watch him, Hermione." Ginny said. "He's fine, it's not like he is addicted to it." Hermione said.

Y/N was sitting in front of the fireplace enjoying his butterbeer. He looked relaxed, without a care in the world. Eventually he snapped out of his thoughts and returned to his friends. The five continued to explore Hogsmeade.

Hermione and Y/N were in front of the shrieking shack. "It's supposed to be the most haunted building in Britain, but you know that already." Hermione said. "Yeah, I just find it hard to believe that I can't see any spirits of the dead." Y/N said.

"That is odd, but do you want to move closer?" Hermione asked. "Closer to you?" Y/N asked. "While I would like that, I meant to the shrieking shack." Hermione said.

Before Y/N could answer, Goyle arrived. "What do we have here, you two shopping for your dream house, I bet you think you can live happily ever after in that old thing Potter. You and your mudblood." Goyle said.

Before Hermione knew what happened, Goyle was dropped to the ground by Y/N. He then kicked him in the shin, causing Goyle to grab it, then grabbed him by the other ankle and was dragging him to the shrieking shack.

Goyle was in a cross between hurt and terrified. He didn't want to get anywhere near the shrieking shack and he was gripping his hurt shin, hopping he could walk on it.

He decided to run for the village instead of staying at the shack. Hermione seemed surprised. "Anyone else want to cross that line?" Y/N asked.

He then saw Hermione. "Y/N, did you have to do that?" "He had it coming." Hermione agreed to the logic.

Ginny and Harry were enjoying the village when they saw Ron. He was coming out of the Zonko's joke shop when he saw the two.

"Harry, Ginny, have either of you seen Hermione or Y/N?" Ron asked. "She said they were going to the shrieking shack. Maybe they are still there." Ginny said.

Just then they saw Cornelius Fudge and Professor Mcgonagall arrive beside a woman named Madam Rosmerta.

After exchanging pleasantries, they went inside to talk. Harry felt it was something that he should know, so he cloaked himself with his invisibility cloak and went in, with Ron and Ginny outside.

Harry went up the stairs and into the room that the three were in. "Now tell me what this is all about, Minerva." Rosmerta said.

"Now years ago, when the Potters knew they were marked for death, they went into hiding for the sake of their sons. Few knew where they were, but one who did was Sirius Black. And he told you-know-who." Professor Mcgonagall said.

"Not only did he lead you-know-who to the Potters, but he also killed one of their friends, Peter Pettigrew." Fudge said.

"Peter Pettigrew?" Rosmerta asked. "Yes, the lump of a boy always trailing after Sirius Black." Professor Mcgonagall said.

"I remember him, he never let James and Sirius out of his sight, but what happened to him?" Rosmerta asked.

"Well he went to try and warn the Potters, and might have succeeded if he hasn't had a run in with an old friend in Sirius Black." Professor Mcgonagall said.

"Black was vicious, he didn't kill Pettigrew, he destroyed him." Fudge said as he was poring drinks. "A finger, that's all that was left, a finger. Nothing more." He continued, lifting one of his fingers.

"Oh yes, Sirius Black may have not put his hands on the Potters, but he is the reason their dead." Professor Mcgonagall said. "And now he wants to finish what he started." Fudge said. "I don't believe it." Rosmerta said. "Oh, that's not the worst of it." Fudge said giving drinks to Rosmerta and Mcgonagall

"What could be worse?" Rosmerta asked. "This, Sirius Black was, and remains to this day, the Potter twins godfather." Mcgonagall said.

Harry heard enough, he rushed out of the pub and past a singing group. Ron and Ginny were right behind him.

The two found Hermione and Y/N not far from them, and Ginny told them everything Harry learned. They found Harry upset about what they learned.

Ginny removed the cloak. "Harry, don't let it get to you, I'll help you anyway I can." She said. "He was their friend, and he betrayed them. HE WAS THEIR FRIEND! I hope he finds me, because when he does, I'm going to be ready. When he does, I'm going to kill him."

"You're not doing it alone, Harry. Don't forget, we're brothers. That means we're in this together." Y/N said. He walked over to him, and extended his hand.

Harry took it without a second thought. "I'm glad you're with me, Y/N." "If you need me, all you need to do is ask, Harry."

He then hugged Ginny. "I'm so happy to have met you, Ginny." She hugged him back "So am I, Harry. I'll always be here for you."

He looked at Ron. "You're a great friend, Ron." He told him. "As far as I'm concerned, you and Y/N are as much my brothers as Fred and George. And that means I'm with you, mate." Ron said.

He looked at Hermione. "Thank you for everything you do, I imagine it wares on you, Hermione." Harry said. "Harry, I love you as if you are my brother. Of course I'm going to be there."

The five went back to Hogwarts, with slightly happier than when they went in.

But Harry and Y/N weren't going to let Sirius Black escape. They swore it.
