CHAPTER 14: THE TRUE TRAITOR

Sirius and Remus had wands trained on him. He was shorter than Harry and Hermione and had a cowardly look to him.

"Remus, Sirius?" The man said

"Hello Peter, we were just talking about the night James and Lily died." Remus said.

"Remus, you must believe me, Sirius was the one who betrayed them." Peter said.

Sirius looked offended by this. "That's a lie, I would die first." He said.

Peter then looked around and saw the twins. "Harry, you look so much like James. Y/N, I can see bits of Lily in you." He said.

"How dare you speak to them." Sirius said. Peter began to run and Sirius gave chase. "How dare you talk about their parents in front of them."

"You sold James and Lily to Voldemort, didn't you?" Remus said. "He was taking over everywhere, what was there to gain from defying them?" The cowardly man said. "How about innocent lives, Peter." Sirius said.

Peter ran to Harry. "Harry, James wouldn't have wanted me killed, your dad would have spared me. He would show me mercy." He said. Sirius drug him back where Remus was waiting for him.

This was all the confirmation Y/N needed. He summoned Harry's sword and stood with Remus and Sirius.

"You are the reason our parents are dead. Now I'm going to kill you first. Your master will join you in hell soon enough." Y/N said.

"You should've realized, Peter, that if Voldemort didn't kill you then we would, together." Sirius said.

"Good bye, Peter." Remus said.

"NO!" Harry said, stopping the three from killing the coward. "Harry, think about what you are doing. This piece of slime may as well have killed our parents." Y/N said, trying to convince him to allow them to kill him.

"I know, but we'll take him to the castle." Harry said. Peter dropped to his knees. "Bless you boy, bless you." But Harry backed away. "Get off, I said we would take you to the castle, after that the dementors can have you.

Pettigrew began to cower at the thought of them. "Alright, I don't like it, but if this is what you want then I'll help any way I can, but if he so much as attempts to escape, I'll kill him without a second thought." Y/N said, hoping for Peter to try.

The order was that Harry, Ron, and Sirius first. Remus would be second, carrying Snape. Y/N would escort Peter by the neck third. Hermione and Ginny would follow up behind him.

Y/N had Peter in front of him, holding him by the back of the neck and Harry's sword pointed at him. "Remember Pettigrew, one attempt and I will bleed you dry." Y/N told him. Peter nodded, and didn't do anything to infuriate the Potter. His life was at stake.

"Sorry about the bite, I reckon that stings a bit." Sirius said. "A bit, a bit, you almost ripped my leg off." Ron said.

"Well I was going for Peter. Normally I have a very sweet disposition as a dog, in fact James suggested that I make the change permanent on several occasions. The tail, I can live with, but the fleas are a nightmare." Sirius said.

Remus looked behind him every now and then to make sure Peter was behaving. So far Y/N wasn't having a hard time keeping him under control. "Y/N, what did you say to make Peter so cooperative?" Remus asked. "I threatened to bleed him to death if he attempted to escape." Y/N said.

Remus made a mental note to never cross Y/N Potter. His enemies would regret it.

Hermione and Ginny's wands were out just in case Peter tried anything, but it looked like it wasn't necessary. Y/N has him under control at the moment.

All of the groups got out of the tunnel. Y/N was pretty rough with Peter, who was begging anyone not to give him to the dementors.

Ginny and Hermione were attempting to keep their distance while Y/N punched him in the side. "Stay away from them." He told him.

Harry decided to stay with Ron, but Sirius wanted to speak with him and Y/N. Hermione and Ginny stayed with him. Y/N punched Peter in the mouth hard enough to bust his lip and knock a tooth loose.

This dropped him to the ground with both hands on his mouth, screaming in pain. "A little something to keep you in place while I deal with some business, but don't worry, I'll be back for you." He said.

The twins approached Sirius, who was looking at the castle. "I'll never forget the time I walked through those doors, it would be nice to do it again as a free man." He said.

He then turned to Y/N. "Y/N, I realized that I never gave you a gift. Hagrid has my old motorcycle, if you are interested. I'll talk to him, or give him a letter."

Y/N smiled, he had always wanted a motorcycle. They looked like fun to ride. He then extended his hand and a new sword appeared.

It was a broadsword with a dog's head on the butt of the sword and a pair of tails for a handguard. "I'll do the same for Professor Lupin later." He said.

Sirius got a chuckle from this. "Your father would enjoy seeing you do that." He said. "I don't blame him. I love doing that, I just hope Mother would find a bit of joy from it."

Sirius smiled at him, he was definitely liking Y/N. He then turned to Harry. "That was a noble thing you did for Peter, even if he doesn't deserve it." He said.

"I know, but I didn't think our dad would want his son and two best friends to become killers just for him. I know our mum wouldn't, besides, dead and the truth dies with him, alive and you're free." Harry said.
