The next few days until the weekend were very much similar in nature.
Malfoy and Crabbe were being careful around Goyle while trying to get away from him so they can enjoy themselves.
Fortunately for them, Goyle made plans for Hogsmeade so he couldn't watch them.
He wasn't the only person, Harry and Ginny were making plans of their own, but it wasn't for this go round, Harry wanted to talk to Lupin about the boggart.
Y/N and Hermione were looking forward to seeing the village and were being much more thorough with their own plans. Ron was going to go to Honey dukes and Zonko's joke shop.
Y/N was alone in the Gryffindor common room when he took out the parchment that Fred and George gave him.
"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." The parchment then began to change colors in certain areas. It then said it was the Marauders map.
Y/N opened it and saw a drawing of Hogwarts and moving foot prints with people's names on them. "Thank you fellas." Y/N said.
He focused his attention to Harry's and saw that he was simply getting ready for quidditch. Ginny was in the great hall with Ron, who Y/N assumed was eating again. Hermione was in the library. "Mischief managed." He said and the map vanished into parchment.
Ron, Hermione, and Y/N were heading to Hogsmeade and had turned in their permission forms. Harry and Ginny turned theirs in as well, but Harry wanted to talk to Lupin about the bogart and he also was working on a project.
Ginny was studying potions and rarely left Harry's side anyway. It was a habit that she had ever scene Harry and Y/N moved into the Weasley household.
Hermione and Y/N went the owl post office for a copy of the daily prophect and a letter Y/N was sending. "That's odd, you usually use Hedwig." Hermione noted, "Yeah, but I wanted to see how good these owls were." Y/N said.
They ran into Ron coming out of Honey dukes with three large bags of sweets in his hands. "Just how many sweets do you need, Ron?" Hermione asked. "Actually, only one of the bags is mine. The other two are for Harry and Ginny." Ron said.
Back at Hogwarts, Harry and Ginny found Professor Lupin on the bridge. "Professor, can I ask you something?" Harry asked. "You want to know why I stopped you from facing that Boggart." Lupin said. Harry nodded.
"Well I thought it would be obvious that I assumed it would take the shape of Voldemort." "He did think of Voldemort at first, but then he remembered the dementor that night on the train." Ginny said.
Lupin nodded, Dumbledore told him about the soul bond Harry and Ginny have, as well as Hermione and Y/N's.
"I see, it seems that the thing Harry fears most is fear itself, very wise." Lupin said. "Something I wanted to talk to you about, when I first saw you, I recognized you immediately. Not by your scar, but by your eyes. Your mother's." This surprised Harry.
"Yes I knew her. She was there for me when nobody else was. She had an extraordinary ability to see the beauty in others, even if they couldn't see it in themselves. Your father had, shall we say, a talent for trouble. A talent that seems was passed on to you."
Harry was enjoying the conversation, and Ginny knew it. She had to smile while listening to the Professor, and giggle when he brought up the talent for trouble. Lupin caught this.
"Is there something funny, Ginny?" Lupin asked. "I just learned how Harry gets into trouble." Ginny answered. Lupin smiled, "Sounds like the rumors are true." Harry couldn't help but enjoy the conversation.
"You're more like them than you know, in time I think you will realize how much like them you are." Lupin said.
Harry and Ginny continued to spend time with Lupin until the carriages began returning.
Harry and Ginny met up with Hermione, Ron, and Y/N. "So how was it?" Harry asked. "Brilliant, Honey dukes was great, oh I have something for you two." Ron said.
He pulled out two bags from Honey dukes and gave them to them. "Nothing beats Zonko's." He continued.
"Y/N went to the post office to test an owl, and we went to the three broomsticks." Hermione said. "Just hope Hedwig doesn't hold it against me." Y/N said. "Just don't make it a regular thing and you will be fine." Harry said.
The Gryffindor students were on the staircase and we're going nowhere. "What's wrong?" Ginny said. "Neville probably forgot the password again." Ron remarked.
"Hey." A voice came from behind them, it was Neville. "Oh." Ron said. Percy then made himself known in his usual method. "Move, excuse me, I'm head boy." Alright, nobody is to enter this common room until it has been completely searched."
This made Y/N suspicious, he summoned Neville's whip sword and wrapped the blade around a staircase above his head.
He dismissed the sword and allowed himself to fall, landing in front of his brother and friends. "The fat lady is missing." He told them.
Dumbledore eventually arrived at the scene. He saw the painting with no fat lady, but two cuts into it and the doorway behind it scratched.
"Mr. Filtch, round up the ghosts and Y/N, have them search the painting in the castle to find the fat lady." Dumbledore said. "There's no need, professor. The fat lady is there." Filtch said.
The students were running towards the painting Filtch pointed at, with Percy yelling at them and Y/N tempted to punch him in the mouth.
Eventually Dumbledore arrived at the painting. "Dear lady, who did this to you?" The painting was a black skinned pig. The lady popped her head out from behind it. Tears were also in her eyes
"Eyes like the Devil, he's got. And a soul as dark as his name. It's him, Professor, the one they all talk about, he's here, somewhere in the castle. Sirius Black." She said, and then hid behind the pig again.
"Secure the castle, Mr Filtch. The rest of you, to the great hall." Dumbledore said.
The castle was locked down, the Gryffindor students were staying in the great hall, and the teachers were searching the castle for Black.
The staff met up with Dumbledore and reported to him that they found nothing.
"If you may recall, I have expressed concerns about your hiring Professor-" Snape started, but Dumbledore interrupted him. "Not a single person in this castle would consider helping Black enter it. I'm willing to allow the students to return to their dorms once I am sure the castle is secure."
"And what about the Potter twins, should they be warned?" Snape asked. "Perhaps, but for now, let them sleep. In dreams, we enter a world that is entirely our own. Let them swim in the deepest ocean, or glide over the highest cloud." Dumbledore said.
"They will probably spend their dream time with Weasley and Granger, you know the nature of soul bonds." Snape reminded him. "I believe that should be encouraged, Severus. Allow them to do so." Dumbledore said.
Y/N looked around the common room and could feel the students' fear. It was as if an unwanted cloud fell on them and he could feel it.
Y/N was irritated that he couldn't do more to help. Black was a danger to Harry and his friends, and dangers were often dealt with by the end of one of his swords and Sirius Black was just a man, what are these people thinking? He was getting more and more annoyed by the minute.
Snape then snapped his head over to Y/N's bed. He could feel something off about the boy. "I believe Y/N is awake." He told Dumbledore. "Probably can't sleep, shall I go talk to him." "No, I'll go. I wish to speak with him anyway."
Y/N was struggling to sleep, his mind was wondering to Sirius Black and the fear he was creating. "Having trouble sleeping, are we?" Y/N looked up and saw Professor Snape starring down at him.
