"Can you hand me the cheese?" Chase asked Christina as I spread tomato sauce on some raw dough. Chase walked over next to me and started sprinkling cheese on the pizza crust. I finished spreading the sauce and went over to the sink, turning the handle to turn water on and wash the brush.

"Aaahhhh WHAT THE FUCKKKK" I screamed, as hot blood spurted out of the faucet and drain, and all over me and my clothes. I hurriedly turned the nozzle off and fell to the floor crying. Simon stopped putting pepperoni on one of the pizzas and grabbed my arm, helping me up.

"I've got this." Simon said, leading me into the bathroom at the end of the hall." Thanks Simon" I said, turning on the shower and backing away in case blood came out instead of water. "I'm going to go find some towels, I'll be back in 10 minutes." Simon said, shutting the bathroom door.

I slipped out of my filthy, ragged clothes and climbed into the shower.( Did anyone think of scream?) The steaming water washed away all my stress and worries away.

Just as he said, 10 minutes later Simon walked into the bathroom and lay 14 towels on the counter. "Thank you Simon!" I yelled out. I grabbed a towel for my body and hair. "Are there any clothes in this house besides ours?" I asked Simon.

"Yeah, Aveline didn't live alone. She has clothes for men and women. Come on I'll lead you to the clothes." He said, taking my hand and leading me down the frigid hallways. The heater wasn't working, but luckily water was. "I'll stay out here, just come out when you are dressed." Simon said, shutting the door behind me.

I walked over to the dresser and opened it, expecting something to jump out at me, or a dead body to fall on me. But all I found were clothes and dust. I grabbed a pair of long black fleece pants, and a gray long sleeved shirt.

I walked out of the bedroom, all nice clean and dry. "You done?" Simon asked. I nodded, and we walked back over to the kitchen, the smell of pizza wafted throughout the hallways. "Hey Joyce, you okay?" Carrie asked me, cutting up a pepperoni pizza, and placing it on some china.

"When you guys are done eating, there is lots of hot water and dry clothes." Simon said, getting glasses, and filling them with water. Everyone smiled. "I think we should all sleep in the same room tonight, it's safer to be together." I said, taking a bite of some pepperoni pizza. We all nodded, as we devoured slice after slice of hot pizza and refreshing water.

"Okay you guys go shower, I'm going to make all these beds" I said, after a slight bit of not wanting me to stay alone protesting, they all went to grab towels and shower.

I hummed a song my father had taught me years ago. I didn't remember all the lyrics, just the tune. Then I heard it, a female voice. It was soft, but not Avelines', no it was different. It was calling my name, saying that I would pay."What do I need to pay for?" I said, over and over, never getting an awnser. "Just go away! You're not wanted here" I yelled.

"What's going on in here?" Luke said, running into the room, a towel wrapped around his torso, and his brown hair spiked with water. "Nothing, I was just talking to myself." I replied, trying to look innocent while making the bed. "Okay, well I think we are all almost done getting clean, I'm going to go get dressed." He said, walking away. I nodded and closed the curtains on all the windows.

"What were those words" I said, talking to myself. Then, in the very back of my mind I heard it, the song, that morbid song.

At last the girl could not refrain,

and turned the key a little ways.

And looked within, the horrid sight to see.

For there upon the floor was blood,

and on the wall were children hung

                                                                For the others tricked them

and then cut their throats with knives
