Still yet far from the clock's ringing, Uruha Rushia was already up on her feet, eyes and fingers going through each layer of the piled fabric on her luggage. Double-checking possible forgotten needs.
Taking a quick glance to her left, the poorly conditioned desk caught her sight. She was known to be not as careful with certain things as she looked like she is. On the desk laid a device covered in plastic colored pink.
With light steps, she neared the table, lifting the phone which a half-colored heart sticker peaked through. Though vague, she still had the memory of a kid handing it to her. They were the only one who noticed her existence.
Letting out a deep breath, she closed her eyes before turning back to take one last look at the room she grew up in. The soft line on her face slightly bent to the smallest smile she could muster.
Internally, her heart screamed in excitement by just having the thought of her best friend going to the exact same university she'll spend her time in the next few years.
With no doubt, she will long for the presence and interactions with her parents and beloved brother. Though as for now, being out to grow seemed like an interesting read to try.
Finally deciding her leave, a slender arm reached out to the cold handle, letting out yet another deep breath. For the last time in a while, she stepped out the doors with a grin, enticed by future possibilities.
----
The small smile on her face stretched to one bigger, heading downwards through the noisy steps of the stairs.
Scanning the are, she found people on the dinning, leaving her stuff behind as she head towards them. Her older brother and dad faced each other on the table while her mom sat beside father Uruha, leaving a space for her beside her brother.
The food on the table went on with different varieties, some she doesn't even know of.Though all of it grumbled her stomach for hunger, what caught her attention most was the small circle of water and bent line on her dad's face.
Her mother went on and placed more than she can eat on her plate, Rushia turned to the older woman, an eyebrow slightly raised. "What's wrong?"Getting back on her seat, her mother sighed through a small smile. "Just your father being dramatic with you two going." A hand of hers lifted to cup her own cheek, giggling at the man beside her.
Rushing turned to the older guy. His eyes were locked tight to his food, mouth pushing outwards to a frown. "Do you... guys really have to go?.."
Rushia's brother seemed to notice the look on his face. "Hey, don't worry dad. We'll still visit when we can, right?" He took a glance at her which she caught the hint of, nodding. Her mom picked a tissue from the box placed at the middle of the table, lifting her hand to the frowning man's eye, wiping off the tear that threatened to trickle down his face.
They settled and ate in peace, eventually finishing.Rushia volunteered to wash the dishes but her mother insisted for her to do it with the reason of, "Now, we don't want you to be late or do we?".
After having their little argument on who should do the task, Rushia eventually rose the flag of defeat. She went out to see her father carrying her stuff, shoved it all on the car's trunk. Once all three of them got in, they went and said their goodbyes.
Rushia's dad first drove to her brother's apartment to drop him off then to her university.
_______________________________________The second they parked the vehicle, she immediately stepped out of the car, running to take her stuff from the back then waving off goodbye to her father. Her body turned for her eyes to explore what was supposed to be the place she'll be in.
