???:"I'd beg to differ."
We all quickly reacted by turning to face the voice and what we saw was what I can only describe as a portal with red ribbons tied on the top and bottom of it and eyes inside of it that stared directly at us. Soon a woman stepped out of the portal carrying a pink lace parasol over her head and a paper fan which hid her face from being seen.
???:"Apologies for my sudden arrival but I couldn't help but overhear your conversation and I just couldn't bear to reduce myself to simply listen in."
Marisa:"Well if it isn't the gap hag, I'm guessing your here to confess to being the one behind all of this, ze."
???:"My, I just arrived and I'm already being framed as a culprit. I'm honestly disappointed in you, Reimu."
Reimu:"What, me?! Marisa is the one accusing you."
???:"I honestly pay no attention to what the ordinary magician has to say. What I'm truly here for is to tell you how disappointed I am in you. You failed to catch the culprit of a simple incident and called it a day after they called off the mist for unknown reasons."
Reimu:"Well at least I tried, the mist disappeared so what more is there to it."
???:"With the culprit on the loose it would be only a matter of time before they could strike again but next time the mist could be stronger and actually start causing serious issues outside of slowly draining spiritual energy."
Alice:"So you want us to continue searching?"
???:"Wishful thinking puppeteer but that won't be necessary and you know the reason for it."
Marisa:"What is the gap hag on about?"
Alice:"I have no clue."
???:"Well I suppose you will be under a lot of fire if you confess so I will do it for you. There is no point in looking for the culprit because your friend, Y/N already took care of the issue all thanks to a carless request made by the puppeteer to risk his life and talk things out with a certain doll liberating youkai with a burning hatred towards humans of all things."
Reimu:"Alice, is this true?"
Alice:"Well..."
Marisa:"hold on for a moment why should we trust anything that gap hag says."
???:"Call me a gap hag again and you will regret that you ever crossed my path."
Marisa seemed rather scared for a moment after hearing the woman's threat but Reimu and Alice just stayed silent and things just kept going down hill with no sign of stopping here.
Y/N:"Can you at least tell us how you learnt all this?"
"Simple really, I just took a certain interest in wanting to see how this incident would be handled so I watched on from a safe distance, need I say more? And as for you puppeteer. Mind telling everyone your "brilliant plan" that involved getting a human involved in something clearly out of their control?" the woman asked before lowering her fan revealing her eyes which were deep purple to point they looked like a variant of red.
Alice:"-Sigh- Everyone, I'm sorry for lying to you all and Y/N, I'm sorry for getting you wrapped up in this mess. I learnt who was behind the mist the moment Y/N handed me a doll outside of the scarlet devil mansion and my plan was to get Y/N to talk things out with Medicine Melancholy and convince her to call off the mist and maybe even help her gain some trust in humans so she would get the idea to ever do this again and after all was said and done I met Y/N here and told him to keep this a secret."
Reimu raised her gohei in Alice's direction and she didn't seem pleased with Alice's response one bit
Reimu:"I can't let this slide, a youkai endangering a human by getting them involved in something they shouldn't will not go unpunished."
