The Dragon Feast, And A Tiny Problem

"Thanks Lerena! You are a lot of help!" Leyla said.

"Any time!" Lerena answered, "make sure to bring them all back!"

"Don't worry! We will! We'll leave tomorrow morning!"

"So soon?" Dak asked, "oh boy, I have to start packing."

Well, luckily for me, I don't have anything to pack. Except maybe a few new rocks!" Burple stated, everyone laughed.

"So... is anyone going to eat this cake?" Winger asked.

"Go ahead." Leyla answered and everyone dug in.

After the tasty meal, which consisted of pushing and pulling for the cake pieces, Dak and Leyla went to pack.

"Ok! I'm done!" Leyla said!

"Nice job!" Dak answered.

"Are you done packing yet?"

"Relax! I've got all night"

"Oh yeah!" Leyla rolled her eyes at Dak, "all night!"

When it was time for bed, Leyla made sure all the new recruits knew they were leaving first thing in the morning.

Serena" Leyla said, "we're leaving when you see the sun first reach the horizon!"

"Got it!" Lin answered. The rest of them nodded.

Later that night Leyla settled into her bed. The same one she had woken up in the first day they were here.

It was the next morning, Leyla woke up. "Time to get going!"

"Leyla! Where are you?" She heard a creepy voice, but it sounded like Cutter's.

"Cutter, is that you?" She stepped out side to feel she was stepping something watery. She looked down and... blood. She was standing in a pool of blood.

Leyla looked at where the blood was coming from and saw bones. Lots of bones. Along with Dak's clothing.

"I'm sorry Leyla, I really am." Cutter said, "I tried to stop my self, but they were just so tasty." Blood dripped from Cutter's mouth, and his teeth were a deep crimson red. He took a few steps toward Leyla as she backed up tears streaming down her face. She was scared, and so helpless.

Cutter smiled at her and ran his claws slowly across one side of her face, cutting it open, "I bet you'll be even more tasty than the rest." He said, "I mean, what's gonna stop me from eating you next?"

"Cutter please no!" Leyla screamed.

"Leyla, Leyla, Leyla, Leyla!" Cutter chanted.

"LEYLA, LEYLA, LEYAL, LEYLA!" Dak shook Leyla, and she jolted awake, breathing heavily. "Did something happen? We heard you scream!"

Leyla saw Dak, Summer, Burple, and Winger all standing over her, "sorry, just a nightmare."

"We'll if your all better now, I'd like to get going so we can find a good place to train!" Dak said.

"Yeah just one minute."

"We'll be waiting out side!" Summer lead them all away.

Later it was time to go.

"Ava,
Lin,
Allie,
Eco,
Leo,
Serena!" Leyla said.

"Here!" They all answered.

"Ok let's get going now!"

"Right this way everyone! Follow us!" Winger confidently told.

"So how long is this flight anyways?" Allie asked.

"Until we find a nice place to train you all." Dak answered.

"That could be all day!" Allie whined.

"Well, too bad!"

"Dak!" Leyla scolded Dak. "We'll stop to rest at places! Don't worry!"

"Oh wait. We're supposed to fly?" Ava asked.

"Yeah!" Summer answered.

"Oh well. I'll just walk."

"That's gonna be a lot of walking! It's hard. And trust me, I know." Burple stated.

"Are you afraid to fly?" Winger asked.

"Well, it's not that I'm scared, but, I was never taught."

"You mean you don't k ow how to fly?"

"Yeah exactly."

"Great!" Dak said. "Now what?"

"Ok! Ava, flap your wings really hard!" Leyla said.

Ava flapped really hard, but barely lifted off the ground before falling back down. After a few tries she was ready to take off. Everyone cheered for her when she flew around.

"I DID IT!!!" Ava cheered.

"Nice job! We'll have to take this nice and slow, because your new at this." Leyla stated. They all took off into the horizon.

"Bye bye!" Lerena said.

"Bye Lerena! Thanks for everything!" Leyla yelled.
