The next morning the gang packed up everything they would need for their journey. And we're almost ready to go.

"Everyone remember the plan?" Winger asked. "Summer! Serena, you two are keeping watch once we find him. DO NOT let him out of your sights."

"Got it!" Summer replied.

"Lin! You and your Night Terrors will make Krogan so scared, he won't know what to do."

"Umm won't that not work on Krogan? I mean he seems to be able to capture us pretty well, you'd think he'd know all about dragons." Summer questioned.

"I mean I guess!"

Layla's POV

I screamed at the top of my lungs. Who was that? The dark figure jumping in the trees. I ran as fast as I could. Still being chased I hid behind a rock. I looked around. A cave! Nice! I made it safely to the cave without being noticed.

Oh boy! Where am I? Am I lost? I couldn't be! I didn't run that long! I thought to my self.

I'd better stay the night. It's getting late. I took a big look around. Nothing inside to start a fire with, but lots of wood in the forest. It was too dark by now to go out there, so I waited inside the cave in a balled up position thoughts running through my head for what felt like eternity, before drifting off into a deep slumber.

I awoke. I wasn't in the cave. I was in a room. The room had only a bed. White sheets stained in blood. Blood. On the walls, the flooring, all you could see was blood, except the white sheet that wasn't fully covered. No door. No window.

Bodies. Bodies lay on the ground.
"Hello?" I called out from on the bed. "Anyone there?"  My hands. Covered in blood. But I wasn't bleeding, so who was? I looked at the ground, and noticed bodies of my friends. Dak, Summer Cutter Burple. They were bleeding. They were dead!

I screamed. What just happened. Did I do that? I felt everything disappearing. I was so scared. Would I fall? "Help somebody help!!!"

"Layla!!! I heard a familiar voice. Where did it come from? Somebody was shaking me.

"Hello? Is somebody there?" I asked. But it seemed as though the voice didn't hear me.

"Layla!! Wake up!!!" I shot up heavily breathing. I choked. "You okey? You scared me."

My vision was blurry, but I could just barely Make out the blond hair, and light colored face. Axel!

I tried to speak, but it was as if my mouth was sewed shut. Nothing came out. He could tell what I wanted to say though, as he answered.

"My uncle is doing horrible things. he paired up with  this guy named Krogan. I think he's going to kill everyone! I had to warn you guys!"

I blinked a couple of times taking in all I had just heard.

Slowing down my breathing, I finally managed to let out a word. "Why?"

"I see fear! Not in the way you can. I grew up in a place where everyone is afraid of everyone. I'm not though! I'm done being afraid of people. I saw all the villagers! I saw Elbone, and Duggard, and everyone else!" He laid his hands on me, "they are all afraid. And it's time I stand up. I knew you were the only ones who could do anything, so I stood up. I looked danger in the eye and said NO MORE!"

His speech. Amazing. I thought

"Where is everyone else?" Axel asked me.

"I- I don't know. I was running from something. I don't know what it was. I'm going to look for them in the morning."

"Mhm. It's late. We should rest up. You got a fire?"

"Does it look like I have one?" I asked while Axel looked around the cave.

"I guess not." He shrugged his shoulders, opening his black backpack that was laying next to him, and pulled out a sleeping bag.

"How'd you fit that in there?"

"C'mon, my uncles an amazing inventor. You think I can't do a simple task such as fitting a sleeping bag in an enormously small backpack?" He smiled. It was somewhat comforting. I don't know if it was his smile, or the fact that I wasn't alone anymore, or that someone who wasn't in my dreams was with me, and being so nice. I stared at his blue eyes for awhile. He stared at mine too.

After a few minutes I blinked a couple of times before looking away.

"Sorry." I said, "must've been kinda creepy." I chuckled. Why did I do that? I thought.

"It's fine." He replied rolling out the sleeping bag and climbing inside, "everyone gets lost in my eyes."

"Wait really?" Phew! I thought. So it wasn't just me.

"No!" He looked at me, "just you I guess."

I started having a mental panic attack. Why? What is wrong with me? I don't even know this dude very well! Thor help me!

"You good?" Axel saw me shivering. As I was taking out my sleeping bag and rolling it out, which I should've done the first time I went to sleep, I nodded. I didn't want him to know I was panicking.

"Yeah. Just ready to get into my sleeping bag." I lied. Climbing inside. "Good night!" I faced the opposite of him and closed my eyes.

"Oh ok, goodnight." He replied.

A/N hey sorry guys. I haven't been updating very fast. To be honest I haven't had a lot of inspiration. I want to update regularly, and I know where I want to go with the book, but when I actually have to write it down, I just can't. I guess I have writers block. I'll try to update more, but in the meantime, here's the next chapter.
