Tadashi should have expected it, the person he was supposed to meet was late.
Of course they would be. Tadashi took off his jacket off and hung it behind his chair, then checked his watch then clenched his jaw subconsciously.
His phone dinged and he picked it up to check it, he had nothing else to do anyway. It said 'message from thepinkcat'.
'I don't see you,,,I'm late aren't I?'
Yeah you are.
'Where are you? I'm pretty sure I can spot a pink cat in this place.' Tadashi replied.
'XDXDXD. I'm wearing a green shirt, black pants, and from how fassg I reply, I'm definitely looking at my phone.' They sent, then immediately sent another after it.
'Ew, typo.'
Tadashi looked around. Of course about a dozen people were looking at their phones.
He started to look down at his phone to text again when his head quickly snapped up.
He saw the green shirt at the corner of his eye. Black pants, check. He was definitely looking at his phone.
Tadashi got up at the same time he looked up from his phone, their eyes met and recognition registered. The pink cat walked over to him quickly.
"Fu- Are you... what are you doing here?" He was asked by a guy with curly-ish brown hair and greenest eyes he'd ever seen. It was Eden.
"Meeting someone, what are you doing here?" Tadashi immediately answered and asked.
"Meeting someone, what are you... sorry," Eden said before he could stupidly ask the same question again. "Wait, wait a damn minute... the person you are meeting, is it thepinkcat?"
Tadashi slowly sat back down, looking in disbelief. "No fucking way."
Eden's eyes widened as he sat down slowly from across Tadashi. "This is so weird," he said.
"Yeah, no kidding. Are you really the person I've been texting?"
"In the flesh from what it looks like," replied Eden.
"Your personality... Sorry but the Eden I've met and the person I've been texting are worlds apart, two completely different people," said Tadashi.
"I...yeah, my personality takes a total turn when I'm behind a computer," replied Eden. "Or so I've heard."
Tadashi exhaled and crossed his arms. His jaw was set in seriousness as he regarded Eden. "I hope you're not into the habit of meeting random strangers," he finally said.
"Really?" Eden cocked his head as if in question. "You say that like I'm the one who asked to meet."
"I know, it's just, it could have been anyone else."
"Exactly how am I supposed to know that?" Asked Eden.
Tadashi shook his head and changed the subject. "Never mind, I'm just really surprised. Why aren't you?"
"I am," said Eden. "But coincidences happen all the time."
A waiter came to take their order. Tadashi watched for four full minutes as he listened to Eden order basically everything on the menu. It might as well have been.
Even the waiter seemed a little surprised. Tadashi only asked for water and the waiter left after a while of scribbling. When he was gone, Tadashi's eyebrows remained raised, directed at Eden.
