Sundays are the most boring day of all, I think.

Sit down, listen to annoying birds, hold your hot drink.

The same cycle, like music on repeat.

But the day stays bland, unlike a unique drum beat.

Then I glanced out the glass barrier separating me from skies of blue.

And oh, I was met with a spectacular view.

Eyes of brown, soft hair, tan skin. Not to mention a sparkling grin.

I had no idea that the building next door held someone so pretty.

You opened the window, I opened mine, but what I spoke was not witty.

"Um, h-hi! Hi. I'm Luke."

What a fluke.

"I'm-"

"Gorgeous. Oh my god, wait! I'm sorry. I mean you're gorgeous but-"

I nearly grabbed the scissors next to me and gave myself a cut.

"You are so cute, oh my god. I'm actually Calum."

HE JUST CALLED ME CUTE, HE JUST CALLED ME CUTE, TODAY IS SO FUCKING AWESOME-

"Are you cooking something? I can smell something extremely good from here."

Should I invite him over for breakfast? I suppose I have nothing to fear...

"It's waffles, my specialty. Um, would you like to come over and have some?"

"Absolutely! I love waffles, yum."

"Calum? More like CalYUM!"

You laughed at my terrible pun, and my heart hurt from the sight.

"You are something else, Luke. Alright, I'm headed over to yours, hang tight!"

And as I watched you stumble over your own two feet as you hurried, frantically grabbing your coat and keys, I knew:

This was only the beginning of me and you.
