Moment of Honesty

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

(After a 70 minute flight from New York, they finally land at Atlantic Aviation, a private sector to the Philadelphia international airport.

Awaiting them are two Maybach's and a Sprinter Van.

Nicki's manager has arranged for rehearsals to be held in a Philadelphia suburb.

Nicki, Meek and Tak take one Maybach.

The others part ways and head to the hotel in a suburb of Philadelphia)

Meek: "everybody's cool, don't worry" (gripping tightly onto her hand)

Nicki: "I'm just anxious.." (she says quietly, gripping his hand even tighter)

Tak: "Nick you never been to Philly like this huh? "

Nicki: "nah" (looking through the car window) "not like this"

(They drive for 30 minutes through what looks like countryside to the upscale Chestnut Hill area of Philadelphia. They drive through a gated entrance to arrive on a quiet, cul-de-sac. There are people standing around outside the door of a mid sized home.

Tak pulls the car up to a group of waving people and into the rounded driveway.

He opens the door and steps out)

"Tak, my baaaaby! (kissing him on the cheek) I missed you! (looking around and focusing her attention back to the car) Where's meek at?"

Tak: (pointing to the car) "I missed you too aunty"..... "there he go"

Meek: (stepping out of the car) "wassup mom" (throwing his wait finger up) "hol up, I got someone I want you to meet" (he walks around to the opposite side of the car and opens Nicki's door)

(Nicki steps out smiling nervously. She has on a long fitted Maxi dress with her black fur on. Her hair is up in a bun and shes wearing a guiseppe bootie)

Meeks Mom: "Oh my gosh!!" (frantically, running over to the side of the car) "Hi Nicki!"

Nicki: (reaching out to hug her, giggling a bit) "hi love, so nice to finally meet you" (in her baby voice)

Meeks Mom: "Oh my lord, you are beautiful...."(she laughs) " I thought they was messing with me when they said my son was dating you" (she hits meek on the arm playfully)

Meek: "c'mon mom"

(By this time the entire family is surrounding the car with huge grins on their face)

Nicki: "no, hes been a real gentleman to me" (she says slowly while smiling at meek)

Meeks Mom: "he betta' be.... Here come on in" (she ask meek) "you hungry?" (to nicki) "have yall eaten?"

Meek: "you made that gumbo?"

Meeks Mom: "yea its inside..... go on take her inside....get out the cold"

(Nicki follows Meek In the house while introducing herself to his sisters and family as they walk in.

It's a modest but nice home where Meek's mother lives with his sister. It's a 3br, 2.5 bath colonial home with a large lawn. The floors are wooden and the windows are large and bright. It's far from the hood he came from.

Meek leads Nicki into the kitchen area where more of his family is sitting on the couch. Their eyes light up when Nicki enters.

She says hi to everyone and finds a seat next to meet on a bar stool)
