Chapter six

TW: Mentions of death, rape and zombies

Y/N is having a nightmare. She has no idea where she is. It looks like... a forest? She suddenly realises that it's the Forbidden Forest near Hogwarts. How did she get here?

She suddenly hears a whistle. She turns around. No way. It's David the Savior. But he's dead!

He walks towards her. "You can't run away. No one's going to save you this time" he says as he licks his lips. Y/N then starts to quickly walk away from him. She walks deeper into the forest.

As she's walking, somebody suddenly emerges behind a tree. It's Bellatrix. "Think you could get rid of me, huh? I think a cut on your neck will suit you. Let us add it to the collection" she says as she gives an evil laugh.

Y/N widens her eyes. This isn't real, it's all a bad dream! Bellatrix is in Azkaban!

Y/N then starts to run, only to bump into a third person. Dolohov. "Let us finish what we started last time, shall we?" he says as he harshly grabs her arms.

Y/N tries to get away, but she can't. She can't move. She then closes her eyes. Nothing happens, though.

She suddenly hears a voice. "Y/N" it says. Y/N immediately opens her eyes. Dolohov, Bellatrix and David are gone. She recognises the voice. No.

She then turns around to look at the person. "Mom?" she says with tears in her eyes.

Her mother smiles at her. She then walks towards her. "Come with me" her mother says as she stretches out her arm.

As Y/N is about to take her hand, her mother turns into a zombie. As she's about to bite Y/N, the nightmare ends.

Y/N jolts up, wide awake. She's breathing heavily. Somebody then gently puts a hand on her shoulder. The action makes her give a small scream, though. She starts to cry, uncontrollably.

The same person who put a hand on her shoulder then hugs her tightly. "Shh. It is okay, princess. You are safe. You had a nightmare. It was not real" the person says in a velvety voice as they are rubbing her back comfortingly.

It's Snape. Y/N sniffs. "I-I'm sorry" she says while hugging Snape quite tightly.

He gives her right cheek a kiss. "Do not be sorry. Your nightmare must have been quite bad. Would you like to talk about it?" he slowly asks.

Y/N closes her eyes. "I-it was about Bellatrix, D-Dolohov... David the Savior, you know... And my m-mom" she says in a small voice as she starts crying again.

Snape shushes her as he wipes away her tears with his thumb. "You are safe here with us. Both Dolohov and that Savior are dead, and Bellatrix is in Azkaban. Nobody can hurt you, Y/N" he says while gently rubbing her shoulders. Y/N slowly nods while still shaking a bit.

Snape then rises up to go somewhere. "D-don't leave me, please" she says in a small voice, not wanting to be alone.

Snape gives a small chuckle. "Do not worry, Y/N. I will not. I was just going to get something" he says. He then goes to transfigure a stone into a soft blanket.

He returns to Y/N as he sits besides her. "I got you a blanket. If you want, you may sleep in my arms while I keep watch" he offers.

Y/N smiles and doesn't hesitate to crawl into his arms as she sits on his lap. Chuckling, Snape wraps the blanket around her.

She nuzzles her face into his chest. "Good night, Sev. And thank you" she whispers as she slowly falls asleep.

Snape kisses the top of her head. "Anytime, princess" he whispers.

He then gently carries her over to a tree so he can rest his back against it. He does not want any backaches. He leans against the tree, which is not too far from Sokka, while Y/N is still on his lap and in his arms as he's gently hugging her.

The next morning, Lucius is the first one to wake up. He's quite grumpy. He slept absolutely terribly on the hard ground. And he can't get Cissy's tea here. There's not even any coffee. He sighs as he rises from the ground. His back hurts. Just great.

He then spots Snape leaning against a tree with Y/N in his arms. Lucius chuckles as he heads towards his friend. "So you were her pillow for the night, huh?" he asks him teasingly.

Snape rolls his eyes. "Obviously. She had nightmares about Dolohov and Bellatrix. Her mother, too. Also that Savior guy that tried to rape her in that zombie dimension" he states.

Lucius looks at the girl as his expression turns sad. "Well, I am glad that you were awake to comfort her, Severus. I have noticed that she does not seem to get any nightmares when she is sleeping next to us, though. Unless it is you who blocks out her nightmares" Lucius says as he chuckles.

Snape smirks. "Indeed, I have noticed that as well. I guess our presence has a calming effect on her" he says.

The others then wake up, too.
