The Keeper of the Diamond 4 (Severus Snape, Lucius Malfoy & Zuko x reader)

Chapter twenty

TW: Death, war and mentions of weapons

Y/N, Zuko, Snape and Lucius are now facing Azula. Some soldiers approach them. As the others are fighting them, Snape uses his own spell, Sectumsempra, on Azula.

She groans in pain as she's slashed with an invisible sword. She has lots of deep cuts on her left cheek and arm. She glares daggers at Snape. Azula is mad. You can literally see fire in her eyes. How dare that emo guy attack her?!

"How DARE you?! You are a dead man!" she exclaims, absolutely furious. Azula then uses lightningbending as she throws lightning towards Snape. Y/N turns around and notices it. Oh, no. If it hits him, then he will die!

Y/N has to think fast. She sees only one way of saving him - by sacrificing herself. Snape widens his eyes as the lightning is about to hit him. However, before it can hit him, Y/N jumps in front of him in time. Her body jolts in pain as it hits her. She falls hard to the ground, motionless.

Azula smirks as she then gives an evil laugh. She just killed the Keeper of the Diamond! Fantastic. Now they just have one target left - the Avatar. She then motions for all the soldiers to stop fighting and go after the Avatar.

The others look at the soldiers, confused as they are oblivious to what just happened. "Why are they not attacking us anymore? Where are they going?" Ron asks, puzzled.

Azula walks past them. "Well, why don't you see for yourself?" she asks as she gives an evil smirk. She then follows her soldiers.

More confused than ever, everybody looks in the direction she's referring to. They see Snape standing, not moving a single muscle as he's looking down where someone is on the ground... No. Laura and Vera can't believe their own eyes. Y/N, she's... They all slowly walk towards them.

Snape blinks a few times, digesting what just happened. "Y/N..." he whispers with pain in his voice. If the others weren't too focused on Y/N's dead body, they would have seen the tears in the snarky, mean Potions Master's eyes. That's right, Severus Snape is crying, silently. He looks absolutely defeated, even more than when Lily Potter died.

Snape's knees give out as he falls to the ground before the dead girl. He then takes her in his arms. "No..." he whispers while burying his face in her hair as he lets his tears fall down.

Lucius and Zuko can't believe it either - she's dead, she's really dead. Lucius falls to the ground too with tears in his eyes. He then grabs Y/N's cold hand, putting a finger on her wrist. Nothing. No pulse at all. He then leans down to listen to her heartbeat. Nothing.

Vera and Laura fall to the ground as well. "Y/N..." Vera says with tears in her eyes. Laura has tears in her eyes, too.

Zuko, Katara, Toph, Sokka, Hermione, Harry, Ron and Draco all look extremely sad while looking at the dead girl. They all have tears in their eyes as well. Momo and Appa seem really sad, too.

"She saved my life..." Snape quietly says after a while. He can't believe it. Nobody has ever sacrificed themselves for him.

Laura puts her head in her hands. "No! No, no, no! This is not it! She can't be dead! She can't..." she says while hitting her head over and over again.

Vera suddenly looks at the ground, widening her eyes as she realises something. She then looks at Katara. "Katara, you can heal people, right? Can you... Can you save Y/N?" she pleads, tears still in her eyes.

Katara scolds herself internally. Why didn't she think about that?! She just hopes that it isn't too late...

She then kneels before Y/N, taking her vial which contains spirit water. She then uses waterbending to bring the spirit water to Y/N's heart, healing her. "Come on..." she pleads as she concentrates.
