Chapter 13: Shock
Christmas brake went by pretty quickly after visiting Jonathan. The holiday was more for the family, so I didn't get to see my beloved friends. When school started again, I was excited! Finally, something to do! Lying in bed and seeing tv is awesome, but too much drives you to insanity. I certainly don't need more of that.
I woke up earlier than usual and dressed up the best I could. I chose a red T-shirt that said 'I'm one of a kind'. Who wouldn't agree with me? I ran downstairs and picked up a plum on the way out. I love me some plum, yum yum. If the world depended on fruits, I would be king of all!
I walked to the bus stop and sat down while I finished eating my plum. It's extra juicy. I threw the huge seed on the trash can near me and waited for Jonathan to arrive. A few minute later, the bus stopped in front of me to reveal a smiling and totally different Jonathan.
What. The. Heck.
Jonathan's face was acne free! What!? How?! When?!
My face could have shown my shock since Jonathan started laughing and sat next to me as the bus drove away.
"So I guess it's a drastic change, Huh?" Jonathan asked amused.
I really wasn't paying attention to his voice, but I sure was checking his face out!
His skin looked so smooth, with just a few scars. I wanted to reach out and stroke his cheek to see if I wasn't just imagining it. I could now see a dimple when he smiled; like right now. With the acne out of the way, I could admire his beautiful smile. And gosh, was it radiating!
All in all, He looked nice. In a really hot way type of nice.
Oh God, what's wrong with me?
I wanted to talk, but nothing came out. Too mesmerized to say anything.
Jonathan kept smiling. Gosh, that dimple will be the death of me.
"Uh— Wow Jonathan! You look—" Don't say hot. Don't say hot. "—Different!"
His face fell a little, but quickly covered it.
I mentally face palmed. You know I can compliment him, Sara! Don't be a coward! God knows that acne sure was a cover up for that greatness!
"Different, in a great way! You look really good!" I said with a truth worthy smile.
Jonathan's face lit up. Dimple! "You really think so?"
I was too engrossed on the dimple to say much. "Mhm!"
He grinned. "I hoped so. Mom kinda made me do this treatment a few days after you went home."
I frowned. "Why?"
He blushed a little. Hey! Now I can see much better his blush! How cute! —Wait. Why is he blushing?
"Um, she said it was already time. I think that since she know knows that I have friends, she wants me to be my best self." He finished but I was certain there was something more. I didn't push the subject. Either way, I owe his mother! His dimple is hypnotizing! (Leave me to be hypnotized by a dimple!)
After a little chat of the holidays, we started our walk to school. When we arrived, the building was buzzing with activity. The outside and the inside. When we walked outside, loud chatter greeted us and there were so many students in the way. I held on to Jonathan's arm, so I wouldn't be crushed by all the crazy people. Sheesh, and to think that I am considered crazy!
