New Housemate

[ jake's pov ]

it's finally the day i move out of this ugly dorm. and let me tell you this,

i couldn't wait to get heesoo's reaction once she knew that i'm her new housemate.

sunghoon helped me take my bags to the car and exhaled,

"finally, we both move out from this dorm!" sunghoon squeals as he jumped up and down.

"i know right. i couldn't wait to see heesoo's reaction" i said and leave an evil laugh.

we get to the car and start driving away to my new home.

"don't you think she's trying hard to get?" i randomly questioned him as he looks at me and shakes his head.

"nah i don't think so mate"

"i mean, maybe yes. maybe no." he said and look at me.

"why is she hating on you? like... so bad" he asked as i just roll my eyes.

"i mean, you guys knew each other for a very long time. and it's weird seeing how the both of you are like... hating each other?" he continued.

yes, me and heesoo been knowing each other since we were kids. she was my kindergarten friend and we used to be so closed before.

but now...

i don't know.

i don't even think she remembered our old-time together...

"let's just change the topic, shall we?" i said and focused on driving.

[ heesoo's pov ]

while waiting for my housemate to come, i decided to watch some movies and maybe do some of my homework.

i don't know why but i'm not excited to meet my new housemate.

what if he's someone that i know.

i mean, jaeyoon?

his name sounds familiar to me but i don't know who's he.

suddenly, not a few minutes later, i heard bells ringing. i slowly get my ass up and walk to the door slowly.

and when i opened the door, a person who i hated the most is in front of me.

"what are you doing here? and what's up with these bags?" i curiously asked him while he just chuckled and pats my head.

"don't fucking tell me..."

"yes, cupcake. i'm your new housemate" he said and entered the house with sunghoon behind him.

"what the fuck- park sunghoon!"

i couldn't believe my eyes. is he serious?

"oh you must be joking, right?" i ask in disbelief and went to my room to dial my mom.

[ jake's pov ]

"dude, she's pissing off right now" sunghoon said as he put down my bags.

"yeah, i know. don't worry she's gonna get used to this-"

"MOM WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT JAKE'S GONNA BE MY HOUSEMATE" i heard her shout from her room as i just laughed.

"i'm gonna go now. see you bro" sunghoon said as i just nod and send him off.

once sunghoon left, i went back to my new room- which was opposite heesoo's bedroom.

so i clearly can hear her.

"no, but- why- mom" her voice slowly faded as i try to ignore and unpack my things.

"clearly he's a big flirt, mom. that's why i hate him"

"yes, he did give me a nickname. yes it's cute, but of course, he called other girls that too"

"mom..."

"yes 'cupcake' is a cute nickname but i don't believe that at all"

when she said that, i don't why but my feelings hurt so bad.

so she 'hates' me because of my flirty attitude?

"i don't know, mom. i just can't trust him"

"yeah of course he put on an act... mom i-"

"i'm gonna end this call, mom. i can't take it anymore. love you"

with that, the silence filled the house.

should i try to talk with her?

no, you're gonna make this thing worse, sim jaeyoon.

let's just focus on ourselves, should we?

a few hours pass and finally, i'm done unpacking my stuff.

this room is kinda spacious so there's some space for me to put my luggage and other stuff.

let's take a look at this house, shall we?

i slowly twist my doorknob and left the room. i walk to the kitchen to put my food and saw heesoo sitting silently at the dining table while doing her homework.

i opened the fridge and put all my snacks and walk towards her.

"i see a straight As student is making her homework huh" i smirked and sit right next to her.

"shut your mouth" she said coldly while focusing on her homework.

i decided to mess around with her by staring at her.

i'm sure she's frustrating right now.

"can you stop that? it's annoying" she sighed and packed her things before walking to her room.

and i'm alone now.
