Part 4

(Later that evening)

Jimin's POV:

Tae and I walked over to Jin & Joon's burrow. It wasn't too far away. Their burrow was much larger than where we lived. Since Jin was an elder and married, he got the option for a better location and larger space. I hoped that one day I would be married and have the option to move into a nicer place. Not that our home was terrible, but when Yoongi stayed over it did get a little crowded.

Yoongi said he would meet us there. I wish I could apparate wherever I wanted. He probably went to his place to change. He lives in a treehouse with Hobi. That's where most of the sprites live. It's pretty nice up there, I've been a few times. Though not good if you are afraid of heights, like Tae. That's why Yoongi spends a lot of time at our place instead.

Joon answered the door when we showed up.

Taehyung: Joon-hyung, thanks for letting me tag along.

We hugged. I really like Joon. He's the smartest gnome that I know and is always tinkering with things. Well...I thought he was a gnome. Maybe not?

Namjoon: Come in. Jin is in the kitchen cooking with Yoongi.

Jimin: Smells delicious.

Tae went in and gave Jin a hug and Yoongi a kiss on the cheek. Joon and I stayed out of the kitchen.

Jimin: So what have you been working on?

Namjoon: I've built a radio.

Jimin: What's a radio?

Namjoon: It picks up electronic waves that humans transmit. Mainly because I miss music.

Jimin: I don't know if I've heard much human music. Except when I overhear some of them singing to themselves.

He brought me over to this device, wound up a lever and then flipped a switch. Music flowed out and it was very different from the kind of music you hear from elementals.

Jimin: It's very fast.

Namjoon: (Laughing) Yes, this is a techno station. People dance to it.

He demonstrated by dancing up and down and flailing his arms.

Jimin: They call that dancing (looking skeptical)?

Just then Jin and Yoongi came out carrying several plates of food and Tae carried two bottles of fruit wine.

Jin: (Turning to me) I know you have lots of questions, but let's eat first. Then Joon will tell you his story.

We chatted about work and gossip while eating. A lot of the gossip centered around Hobi. He was the town playboy and gave us plenty to talk about.

Yoongi: Better watch how much we talk about him. He might hear it and pop over here.

Jin: Well if he did happen to hear us, he is more than welcome to come over.

Within a minute, we heard a knock on the door and everyone started laughing. Like I said, the fungal network makes sure there are few secrets in town. Joon got up and opened the door to Hobi's bright, smiling face.

Hoseok: I was just in the neighborhood and thought I'd pop by.

We all started laughing again.

Namjoon: Do you want some food? We were finishing up, but have leftovers.

Hoseok: No, I just came to listen to you guys talk about me.

Yoongi: It's your fault for giving us so much juicy gossip to talk about (smacking Hobi on the ass).
