During school Pandora wasn't there all day I even called her house and there was no answer, I began to worry about her but I had to realize that she's probably not taking the news well. Pandora has always hated when I kept secrets from her so I know she's upset with me and her mom. 

After school, I met Adonis on his motorcycle which confused me because we took his car this morning. "Umm, where's your car?" I ask. "Well I thought that you would like to have a little fun before we have a serious talk with my dad," he says. I raise my eyebrows at him and just sigh and get on the back of the motorcycle. Adonis reves up the engine and speeds out of the student parking lot. I kept my eyes closed for most of the ride but when I open my eyes we're in this big neighborhood with the houses spaced out. Adonis goes up a hill riding through a pathway with oak trees on each side of the road. A big house appears it's traditional with a black and grey exterior. 

"This is your house?" I ask. "Yeah what did you expect goblin statues?" he chuckles. "No I expected you to live alone not in a neighborhood," I say. "My mom always wanted the white picnic fence family lifestyle plus I like it too," he says. "Why?" I ask. "It makes me feel human," he says as he opens the front door for me. 

As I walk into the house it has a beige and white aesthetic to it. The house is so beautiful and clean that it made me feel that I was the dirty object out of place. There are old family photos of each family member with dates of when they were taken. As I get to Adonis's photo I see that the date was covered with a permanent marker, I turn around and look at him and he grins and winks at me. 

When I get to the top of the stairs a beautiful blonde woman greeted me with the most breathtaking smile. "Amethyst it's a pleasure to meet you I'm Elizabeth Esylium," she says. Her voice was soft like a summer drizzling rain. "Hi, it's nice to meet you Adonis has told me all about you," I say. "As he did you, Adonis you were right she is beautiful to look at those pretty brown almond-shaped eyes, healthy brown skin, and her hair is so beautiful," she says with a big smile. "Thank you," I say.

"Come my dad is waiting for us in his study," Adonis says as he begins to guide me around the house. We walk into a room filled with different books and antiques to find a man sitting in a chair smiling at us. "Amethyst please take a seat I'm Silas Esylium," he says while shaking my hand. 

"Hi, Adonis said you needed to speak with me," I say. "Yes, given the number of vampires we've encountered since we moved here Marcus seems to have a team," he says. "Like a team of vampires?" I ask. "More like vampires that do whatever he says out of fear," Adonis says. "Marcus is very powerful, Marcus had a wife Athena she comes from the strongest witch bloodline. Athena was very powerful and so was her family they ruled over the witches and wizards," Silas says. "They weren't exactly royalty but every witch and wizard respected them," Adonis says. "Marcus is the most sadistic vampire I've ever seen to the point a lot of vampires and even werewolves fear him and that attracted Athena. Athena died mysteriously and when she did she transferred her powers into Marcus," Silas says.

"How could she do that?" I ask. "We don't know but my guess is that she and Emerald are the only witches who can," Hugh says. "Emerald as in my sister?" I ask. "Yes and speaking of your sisters they know you're alive and they're expecting you," he says. "You know them?" I ask. "I met Cindy many years ago she needed help hiding the girls so I allowed her to stay at my house in Boulder City, Nevada. They have been living there for 5 years now," he says. "How am I suppose to get there?" I ask. 

"I'll drive we'll leave Friday afternoon," Adonis says. "I can't just up and leave I have parents," I exclaim. "Spring break starts Monday just tell them you and Pandora plan on going on a trip to Vegas," Adonis says. "Adonis they're not gonna believe that plus they're going to want to call Ana," I say. "Trust me it'll work," he says. "This is very important Amethyst you were created for this very purpose. The closer you are to your sisters the stronger you'll become," he says. I nod still unsure about leaving home.
