I park in my parking space at school next to Major's car and I get out and sit in Major's truck bed with Pandora.

 "How bad did your mom lay into you?" I ask. "Not too bad surprisingly," she says. "Well I gotta tell you guys something so last night I woke up and went downstairs for some water when I come back upstairs my window was open and when I went to close it I turned around and the book was on my bed," I say. "You're lying," Major says.

 I pull the book out of my messenger book bag. "Does it look like I'm lying," I say? 

"Did you see anyone?" Pandora asks as she takes the book out of my hands and examines it. "Nope not at all," "Well maybe it's a sign that there's more to this book than your mom said Pandi," Major says. 

All of a sudden the student parking lot goes quiet and of course, it's because Mr. handsome himself has returned. Adonis today is riding a motorcycle to school with his typical wanna-be bad boy attire. Adonis takes off his helmet and begins to walk into the school but is stopped by the princess herself Charlotte Thomas. Charlotte was the typical girly girl bimbo type blonde who loves pink high heels on almost every occasion. She basically thinks she's Oregon's, Paris Hilton. Charlotte is sweet though well at least to me she's not your usual high school dictator. 

"Hey Adonis I've missed you," she says. "I've only missed one day of school," Adonis chuckles. "Oh yeah well I was hoping if you would like to sit with me and my friends during lunch today?" 

 I roll my eyes and scoff at their exchange for some reason it just annoys me.  Adonis turns his head looks at me then flashes a smile my way, Charlotte takes notice of this and I look away. 

"Charlotte I'll have to think about it I mean I'm not really a social person but hey I might just take you on your offer so I might see you later," He gives her a wink and walks off. 

I turn my attention back to my friends who are staring at me in a very weird way. 

"What?" I ask. "We saw that he totally blew off Paris because of you," Pandora says. "Well maybe he's telling the truth about not being a social person because I have yet to see him in the cafeteria the same goes for his sisters as well but I definitely saw you get jealous," Major says. "No that wasn't jealous it was just typical,"

 The bell rings and we all walk into school and head for our lockers.

"Hey, Amethyst can I talk to you for a second?" Charlotte asks and I nod. "I was just wondering if you and Adonis had something going on," she asks. "No we don't, why would you think that?" "Well when I was talking to him this morning I saw how you two glanced at each other and I don't wanna go after a guy who has a girlfriend or a potential girlfriend," "Well I'm neither but I appreciate you asking instead of making assumptions," "Your welcome I mean I do think of myself as a noble person," she says smiling and patting herself on the back. "Right," I say sarcastically and turn around and walk away.

During the first period, everyone is assigned partners for a worksheet and of course, I get stuck with Adonis. 

"So what was that earlier?" he asks with a grin. "What was what?" "Oh come on you scoffed when Charlotte basically asked me out why?" 

"What makes you think I scoffed at that?" "What else could you be scoffing at I mean you were all into our conversation," "How would you know if you weren't watching me?" I ask with a grin. 

"Oh I watch you all of the time," he says and I jump up at him saying that. "Why?" I ask looking at him like he's crazy. 

"I think you're cute, you're not peppy but your best friend is so you do things that she likes to make her happy. Major seems a little bit clueless but you keep him on his feet, most of all you're confident in who you are," he says.
