|| NINE ||

We're 30 minutes away from my sisters while Major is still knocked out in the backseat with Pandora. Adonis is rushing to get there before he wakes up. Meanwhile, I'm not even thinking about what happened to Major, which is sad to say but I can't what happened with Adonis out of my head.

I turn and look at him while he's driving and he seems to be content but with a stern look on his face. "What?" he says without looking my way. "Huh," I try to play it off.

"You've been staring at me and keeping quiet since we left. What's on your mind?" "It's just...what did you do at the Ferris wheel? What did you do to the employee and the ride?" 

Adonis takes a deep breath like he's reluctant to tell me something. "Vampires at times have rare abilities," he says. "Rare abilities meaning what?" "Abilities aside from the standard super fast speed, good looks, and super strength," 

"How many abilities are there?" "From the ones that I know, there's a shapeshifter, telepath, power over natural disasters, loyalist, along with some others," "So what's yours?" "I have the power of manipulation,"

"What's that?" "I can control people's minds and body plus I can control objects," he says. "How do you develop your abilities?" "It grows within time after the change. At first, I could just control objects but as the years went on I could manipulate and control people,"

"That seems cool, I mean you shocked me back there," "Yeah well you're in for more of a shock because we're here,"

We're driving through a very nice neighborhood with a Miami heat feel and you can these houses are pool houses. I see kids playing in their rides and riding their bikes, as I'm just seeing this suburban lifestyle I question why are four supernatural creatures living here.

At one point we pass all of the houses and we go down this dirt road. I turn and look at Adonis and he's just driving casually like nothing is wrong. 

"As you can tell by our family house in Oregon we like to be secluded," he says and I nod just putting my trust in him. 

Finally, the dirt road stops and we're back on the pavement and we approach a gate. Adonis puts in a code that opens the gate that leads to this beautiful black victorian house more like a mansion. 

"Now this is what I expected your house to look like in Oregon," I say looking at the house in awe. Adonis chuckles and parks the car. 

Pandora wakes and she gasps at the house as she steps out of the car. "This house is beautiful! Is this how your house looks back at home?" she asks. "Not at all," I say.

Pandora opens Major's car door and the three of us just stare at him. "So what do we do with him?" I ask. "I'll take him inside and give him five of these," 

Adonis opens the trunk and pulls out a cooler duffle bag and he opens it and reveals pints of blood. "Woah you kept that in there the whole time?" Pandora asks. "yeah I'm a vampire I do have to feed," he says. 

The front door of the house opens and four girls step out with an older woman with a big smile on her face. I scan every one of them and I notice how different we all are.

The girl with the sapphire gemstone is Asian and she's strikingly beautiful! She has long silky black hair, dark brown eyes, and a wonderful face structure. The girl next to her has the ruby gemstone around her neck has beautiful tan skin, brown eyes, and a beauty mark above her lip and the right side of her mouth. She looks to be Hispanic and she looks kind of intimidating. 

While the blonde next to her gives off the same intimidating energy with the amber gem hanging off of her neck. She has green eyes, short shoulder-length blonde hair. The brunette next to her is beaming with excitement. She had blue eyes, hair that stopped right below her shoulders, and pink full lips.
