I told Adonis about the mysterious stranger from last night and how I didn't see their reflection in the on the window. Adonis took a lap around the motel and he sensed it was a vampire. Marcus has sent another vampire after me so we're now back in the car on the road to Nevada.

Adonis is driving like a bat out of hell which lets me know that whoever was watching me was dangerous and scared him. I put my hand on his thigh and rub circles in his skin to soothe him.

"Are you okay?" I ask. "No, not really,"

Adonis doesn't look at me in my face he just stares at the road ahead of us with a stern look. I can feel the anger radiating off of his body. I turn around and look in the backseat to see Pandora and Major sleeping in the backseat.

"Tell me what's wrong maybe I can fix it," I say.

Adonis takes a deep sigh and shakes his head. "It's just whoever was out there could've hurt you. I don't understand how I wasn't alerted of that," he says.

"Why would you be alert?" "It's a long story and you'll have to wait for it," he says. "Why?" "Because you just do," he says.

I let it go but I definitely won't forget what he said. "Lookout sunrise we're finally in Nevada," he says.

I look out the window and I see the dry scenery around us and it's beautiful. As a girl who's lived around greenery her whole entire life to get out and see different parts of the world is quite amazing.

"Hey guys you're gonna want to see this," I say as I wake Major and Pandora up.

"This is the most beautiful place I've ever seen," Pandora says. "Yeah I'll pick my shit up and move down here any day," Major says and I laugh.

I turn on the radio and "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus begins to play.

A huge smile spreads across my face and I turn around and look at Pandora. Pandora is bursting from excitement in the backseat next to Major.

"Oh, no guys please don't start," Major whines. "Start what?" major asks confused.

"I hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan Welcome to the land of fame excess (woo) am I gonna fit in," Pandora and I sang.

"You don't know this song?" I ask Adonis with a shocked expression on my face. Adonis shakes his head no like I just asked him the stupidest question ever.

"Do I look like I listen to this crap?"

"CRAP?!" Pandora and I exclaim. "This is not crap this childhood nostalgia and a musical masterpiece," Pandora says. and I nod.

"Whatever you say Red," he says chuckling. "You guys expect him to like this song he's like a thousand years old," Major says.

Adonis slams the breaks on the car and turns around to face him. Major looks like he's gonna shit his pants, it was quite entertaining.

"Let's just put an end to this age talk I'm under 200 years old and that's all you guys need to know,"

Adonis turns back around to start driving clearly still agitated but I don't care so I turn the radio back up.

We stop at a diner to eat just so Major can stop complaining about how hungry he is. I sit beside Adonis whose looking around like he's scoping the area.

I begin to look around as well it was very busy but seemed like any normal diner. It had a 50s style design to it with a jukebox and everything.

"Guys since we're about an hour and a half away from Amethyst's family, do you think they'll be okay with someone like me coming?" Major asks. By the look on Major's face I can tell that he's really concerned.
