As Major is balled up and rocking himself back and forth I begin to take in his appearance. Now don't get me wrong Major was never ugly but---DAMN! Immortality hit him like a truck. 

Everything about him is different his skin is so clear and his face is chiseled and defined. His eyes sparkle now and he seemed to be a little taller. Overall Immortality did him very well and I can't wait till he realizes it. 

Ruby comes forward and crouches down to Major and looks at him intently. Major stares back at her in fear but also in awe. 

"Who are you?" he asks trembling on his words. "I'm Ruby Amethyst's sister also a vampire and I'm here to help you so don't be afraid," she says. 

I can tell by looking at Major he's so confused and scared and it breaks my heart to see him this way. I feel guilty because if it wasn't for me we wouldn't be in this mess. I take a step forward but Adonis pushes me back. 

"What the hell?!" I yell in a whisper. "Major is scared and confused two of the worst combinations of the change when you first wake up he may attack anyone in this room except Ruby and me," he says. 

Ruby throws a pouch of blood at Major and catches with a fast reflex. Major looks shocked by his superhuman abilities. Major sucks all of the blood out of the pouch. Adonis gives him four more and downs all four of those quickly. 

As I watch Major chug all of those pouches I notice what Adonis means about how blood makes them go crazy. Major stands up and looks towards Pandora and me. "So is anyone going to explain what happened to me and who are all these ladies," he says.

"Major this is my godmother Cindy whose a witch, my sisters Sapphire, Ruby, Amber, and Emerald," I say. Adonis and Ruby take a step forward, "Major there's a lot we need to discuss that we can help you with," she says. 

Major takes her hand reluctantly and the three of them walk out of the room. Leaving the six of us by ourselves. Cindy smiles at Pandora and I then clear her throat. "We should them unpack shouldn't we Emerald," she says. 

Cindy and Emerald take out what seem to be wands. They begin to close their eyes and point the wands at our suitcases. Our suitcases flew open and our clothes were being placed in drawers. I was completely amazed by it. This was more amazing than Adonis last night.

They both stop when everything is put and they turn to smile at us. "That was cool," pandora says smiling. "Well you too will be doing it soon," Emerald says. 

"By soon she means the day after tomorrow," Sapphire says with a smile. "Oh I thought we'll start training tomorrow," I say. "Oh we will you'll start with me in the pool so you can learn how to swim and to protect yourself in mermaid form," she says. 

"After you get with Sapphire you're all mine," Amber says with an attitude. I swear Amber hates me for some odd reason and I don't know but I'm pretty sure I'll find out tomorrow. 

"Then you'll have me and Ruby the next day," Emerald says with a smile. Cindy claps her hands together which startles everyone. "Okay girls let them cool off for a bit and hopefully you'll join us for dinner soon?" she asks and I nod. 

Cindy smiles and exits the room with Emerald and Sapphire following right behind her. Amber walks out with them without her taking her eyes off of me. 

I turn my head and look at Pandora. "Did you see that?" I ask her. "Yeah she's weird," "I don't get it though she acts like I'm an outsider," "I mean you kind of are,"

I look at Pandora with a shocking expression on my face. "Hey look I'm just saying these girls grew up together so it's different," I nod at her in agreeance I mean she's right I'm technically the weak link. Ana made it seem that Marcus is the all-powerful vampire so she's probably scared that me being here makes her a target which it does. 

"On a more positive note, you know what we need," "What?" "A nice long nap in a bed that's not in a creepy motel room," she says. Pandora and I lie down and shut our eyes. I didn't notice how tired I was until my head hit the pillow. 

All of a sudden I'm hiding behind what seems to be a long column. I'm watching a man and a woman who seem to be conversing. The woman was my mother and the man I didn't recognize.

"The only reason why I married her was-," "because of her family bloodline?" "No that's not true," "Oh please Marcus you're obsessed with power and you'll do anything to get it," she says. 

"Because of you!" he yells. "Because of me? Are you serious?" "Yeah because of you and everyone else," he says. He stops before he continues like he knew he was going to lose the argument. 

"Why are you like this?" she asks. "I'm not going to explain it because no matter what I do or say you'll spin it, I'm done," he says and storms off. Scarlett is left standing alone by herself until she turns and looks at me.

"Hey what're you doing here?" she asks. She looks mad and she begins to charge at me like a madwoman. I begin to run but I'm running into emptiness and I turn around and see she's not running after me anymore but she's still yelling out the word hey.

"Amethyst hey wake up," I open my eyes and I see Adonis staring at me in confusion. I try to gather my thoughts and comprehend what just happened. All I can remember is my mom and Marcus arguing passionately about him being the way that he is. 

My head is killing me and I feel more tired than I felt before I went to sleep. I turn my head and see that Pandora isn't in the bed next to me. I look back at Adonis whose looking me dead in the eye trying to read me to see if I'm okay. 

I begin to rub my head to soothe the pain of the pounding headache that I have. "Are you okay?" he asks. "Yeah I'm fine I just have a headache," "You were screaming in your sleep what were you dreaming about?" 

I take a deep breath and try to process everything that happened so Adonis can understand what I'm about to tell him. 

 "I was dreaming that I was in a room with my mom Scarlett and Marcus," "Marcus? Did you see his face?" "Yeah, they were arguing about why he is the way he is," I say.

Adonis looks away from me with a facial expression that seems he's trying to understand why my mother and Marcus would even be discussing that. "Okay tell me what exactly was said,"

"Marcus spoke first stating that the only reason why he married his wife but my mom cut him off by saying it was because of her family bloodline. Marcus argued that it wasn't true and that's when my mom asked him why is he so obsessed with power. Marcus seemed like he was going to explain but he gave up and left," 

"It seems like Marcus and Scarlett were friends or maybe it was just a dream. You know your mind playing tricks on you," "No I don't think so because after Marcus stormed off my mom saw me and she didn't recognize me and she began to charge at me and when I was running away from her I ran into nothing it was black for miles. Scarlett couldn't leave the room she was in," I say. 

"It has to be from the past. we've got to talk to Cindy she'll know," "Do we ask at dinner?" "No, we need to do it alone when it comes to Marcus Cindy gets very anxious," he says. Adonis puts his hand on my forehead to check my temperature. 

"Yeah, and you're hot as well as your head is hurting. I think you just unlocked your second ability," he says. I take a deep sigh and wrap Adonis in my embrace because I'm so tired and the only way I feel like I get some peace is surprised when I'm close to him.

The bedroom door opens and reveals Sapphire who is smirking at Adonis and me hugging each other. "Sapphire don't start," Adonis says. "Oh I'm not going to say anything but Cindy told me to come to get you for dinner," she says walking away smiling. 

Adonis stands up and grabs my hand pulling me towards the door. "Come on we'll talk to Cindy after dinner. hopefully, food will get rid of your headache," he says and kisses me on the forehead and we walk downstairs for dinner.
