|| PROLOGUE ||

"Cindy put the girls in these blankets quick!" Scarlett yells. Cindy rushes putting the five baby girls into their blankets. "How much time do we have left?" Cindy asks. "Five hurry he's coming closer," Scarlett says. Cindy and Scarlett take the babies upstairs and put them in their bassinets in a hidden closet behind Scarlett's bookcase. Cindy stays in the room while Scarlett stands and waits in the living room anxiously. 

The front door flings open and there stands a man with shoulder-length brown hair, pale skin, and dark brown eyes. "Where is she?" he asks. "Where is who Marcus?" Scarlett asks. "Don't play dumb with me Scarlett!" he yells. "I don't know what you're talking about," Scarlett says softly. Marcus levitates the coffee table and throws it across the living room. "I'm going to give you one more chance Scarlett just give her up and no one gets hurt," he says through gritted teeth. "I don't know what you're talking---," Scarlett begins to say. Marcus grabs Scarlett and begins to choke her, as Scarlett struggles to get away a small cry from a baby can be heard from upstairs. 

Marcus turns his head and begins to smirk, he looks at Scarlett and begins to laugh. Marcus throws her across the room and heads upstairs. Cindy gathers the children as she begins to open a portal. Marcus comes into the room and tries to stop her. Cindy already put four of the babies through the portal but before she can grab the fifth one Marcus pushes her back. The two begin to tussle over the child. Marcus realizes that there isn't just one baby that there five and that throws him off just quick enough for Cindy to gain control of him. Scarlett comes into the room and grabs the fifth baby and tries to run off. Cindy jumps into the portal with the four other children and closes the portal. 

As Scarlett makes a run for downstairs she is slowed down when Marcus strikes her from behind with a poison spell. Scarlett opens a portal and tries her best to get through it as Marcus's spell spreads throughout her body. Scarlett passes through just enough time to close it, she hears Marcus no in frustration. 

"Scarlett?" says a redheaded woman with green eyes. "Ana come please help," she says. Ana grabs the baby out of Scarlett's hands and helps Scarlett up on the couch. "What's going on?" Ana asks as she gives Scarlett a cold rag to put on her head. "Remember the gem prophecy, Marcus knows I'm the one that gave birth to them," she says weakly. "Them? I thought it was just one," Ana says. "No the other four are with Cindy, I don't know where she took them. Marcus came to my house and tried to kill them. While I was getting away with her he put a poison spell on me," she says. "What are we gonna do?" Ana asks. "It's too late for me now but, take her this is Amethyst the gifted one," Scarlett says weakly before coughing. "Oh, Scarlett is there anything else that you want me to do?" Ana asks.  "No just take care of her okay," Scarlett says weakly before taking her last breath.

The next few days were hectic for Ana having two kids to look after now. Ana had a baby just a month before Scarlett left Amethyst with her. The two loved to scream and cry all of the time and Ana never got a break. 

Today Ana is in the grocery store buying more baby formula for the girls when she overhears two women talking in the next aisle. "Isn't it sad how poor Sheila and Eric can't have children?" says one lady. "Yeah they have the most perfect place to raise a child on a farm with animals sounds like an adventure for a little kid," says the other. "Just knowing how desperately Sheila wants a daughter it's so sad," says the first lady.

As Ana goes into the next aisle she is stopped by a familiar face. "Hello Ana," he says. "Hello Jagger, what can I help you with," she says as she continues browsing. "Well you know Scarlett has been missing for weeks and I know that you two are super close," he says. "I haven't heard from her if that's what you're asking," Ana says. "Okay but one question who is all that formula for?" he asks. "Well if you must know I had a daughter two months ago," she says. "Oh yeah I forgot you were pregnant, how does Phil feel about being a--," Jagger says but pauses. "Yeah I don't know since he's been missing," Ana says. "I didn't kill him," Jagger whispers. "I know you didn't but someone close to you did now move," Ana says as she storms off.

When Ana got home she had to make the best decision for her and Amethyst, she was going to give Amethyst to Sheila and Eric. They were the two perfect people kind, warm, and have a home that's going to be hard to find. Ana knew since Jagger showed up Marcus is looking for the babies and there's no way Amethyst is safe with her. 

That night Ana took Pandora and Amethyst to the farm but on the way there she saw she was being followed. Ana began to speed up just a little to not make it too obvious. As the car continues to chase she knew she could lose them on the road coming up. The road had a lot of twists and turns and one sharp right that if move so fast it'll look as if you turned down that road. As the road begins to twist and turn Ana goes full speed and when the right turn comes up she speeds so fast it was almost like a blur. Ana looks in her review mirror and noticed that the car was gone.

Ana gets Amethyst out of the car and places her on the steps in front of the Smiths' home. Ana kisses Amethyst on her forehead and rings the doorbell. Ana hurriedly runs to her car and drives off.
