My mother sat beside me. The parents of Justine  were huddled in one corner of the hospital, drinking coffee. They are with me and my family waiting for Justine to come out from the operating room.

They discovered that she had rupture of cerebral aneurysm. They performed an emergency c-s and ngayon they are performing a subarachnoid surgery on her after the CS. (Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is a type of stroke. Head trauma is the most common cause. In patients without head trauma, SAH is most commonly caused by a brain aneurysm. A brain aneurysm is a ballooning of an artery in the brain that can rupture and bleed into the space between the brain and the skull.- Google)

"Sige lang Mommy. Mamaya na. Hintayin ko muna kung ano ang sasabihin ng Doctor."

 I was sitting there alone to my thoughts wondering kung karma ba yun sa akin? I talked to her last night, I told her na may lakad kami ng tropa.  I told her na baka after lunch na ako maka tawag sa kanya. Hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi kami natuloy ng lakad namin kaninang umaga. Seven am nung tinawagan ako ni Mommy. I was told na they had to rush JJ sa hospital.

Nung dumating ako,  they showed me my children. One girl, one boy. They were both in an incubator. Magkatabi sila. Sabi nila na both babies are normal and healthy. They will be monitored and will saty in the incubator since kulang din sila sa months.

I cried when I saw them. I cried kasi dapat ang mommy nila ang kasama nila. I can not even touch them. I spoke to them.

"Hello mga anak, Daddy's here. Your Mom is in the operating room, she will be with you after they operate on her ha? Sorry. I am so sorry, Daddy was not here when you came out. Your Mommy and I planned na I will take pictures of you pag lumabas kayo. I am so sorry wala ako when your Mommy got sick. I love you both mga anak. Pray with Daddy okay? Pray for Mommy that she will be okay soon."

The girl, Joey, smiled. Ewan ko pero nag smile siya. She was probably assuring me that everything will be alright.

"I will leave you here with the nurse and the doctors muna ha> I need to go to Mommy. Your Abuela and Mamita are here looking at you. Daddy will be back mga anak. I love you both so so much."

And I left and went to the chapel of the hospital. I cried my heart out sa Kanya. Iniyak ko sa kanya lahat ang gusto kong sabihin. I asked Him to please ibalato na lang nNiya sa akmin si JJ. Na ako na lang ang ipalit niya. Hiuwag siya ang kunin.

I do not know how long I sat there in that Chapel. I cried so hard na hindi kop na din naramdaman na may iba pang tao sa loob ng chapel. Napansin ko na lang when she stood up. i looked at her and she nodded at me. Comforting nod. I just looked at her. Naka white coat siya. Probably docotr. Resident? Wala akong pakialam. All I wanted right now is hold JJ in my arms and her saying that everything will be okay.

"MArcus?"

I looked at the voice who called me. Si Daddy.

I stood up and hugged him. For the first time mula nung mag kadete ako, ngayon lang ako umiyak ulit. Humagulgol ako sa tatay ko na parang batang nagsusumbong. Mula noon, ngayon lang ulit ako umiyak na hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko. 

"Daddy, si JJ. Anuerysm yun Daddy eh. Sino ang nakakalusot dun?"

"Nandiyan ang Diyos anak. He will not let anything bad to happen kay JJ."

"Ang daya naman niya Dad eh, Nung nabuntis siya, siya lang mag isa ang umako nun. Five months, Dad. Five months. Siya lang. Ang promise niya sa akin, sabay namin naming iwewelcome yung twins eh. Siya nalang ulit. Daddy ang sakit sakit Dad. Ang sakit. Diko alam ang gagawin ko."

"Dasal lang tayo anak."

"Dad, kasalanan ko to eh. It's my fault."

Then my Mom got in the Chapel.

"Marcus, the doctor needs you. Tapos na ang procedure kay Justine.

So we ran out of the chapel.
