A New Beginning
Third Person POV
Three years had passed since Win and Bright had adopted their child.
"Babe! Please bring Cartier outside!" Win shouted from the kitchen, where he was busy cooking. It was Saturday, his day off, and Bright had stopped working, just as Win had wanted.
Bright opened the door, letting Cartier run outside while carrying their newborn baby, Light.
Flashback
It had been a regular afternoon at Win's dad's company when he stepped out of his office to get some water. As he walked, a guard rushed in, panic written all over his face.
"Sir, there's a newborn outside the company!" the guard exclaimed.
Worried, Win followed his dad down to the parking lot where a small box lay, crying within it.
Hearing the baby's cries tugged at Win's heart, and he approached the box, lifting the baby gently into his arms. "Shush, you're safe here," he murmured, and the cries slowly subsided.
"Dad, let me take her to the hospital for a check-up," Win urged.
His dad nodded, and they hurried to the hospital.
When Bright arrived, he was surprised to find Win with a baby in his arms, chatting with a pediatrician.
"She's alright. Just a cold from being exposed to dirty air," the doctor reassured them.
"How old is she?" Win asked, concern in his voice.
"Just three months. She's a healthy baby," the doctor replied, prescribing some medicine.
As they left the hospital, Bright finally spoke. "Who's that baby?"
"She was abandoned outside the company. We should bring her home," Win explained.
Before they got into the car, Bright insisted on buying baby essentials—bottles, milk, and clothes.
After a week of taking care of the baby, they made the decision to adopt her, finalizing the paperwork to become her legal parents.
End of Flashback
Cartier, a dog gifted to Win by his mother, became a loving companion to the family, bringing extra joy to their lives.
After returning from Japan, Win and Bright's marriage blossomed in unexpected ways.
Flashback
"We talk a lot about our future," Bright said one evening.
"What do you mean?" Win chuckled, intrigued.
"I want our marriage to be perfect—not just fulfilling an old promise," Bright said, staring intently at Win.
Before Win could respond, Bright shocked him by kneeling and presenting a ring box.
"What's this?" Win asked, confusion rising.
"Babe, I want to be with you eternally. I know we're married, but I want to fulfill your dreams. Will you marry me again?" Bright finally asked.
Win's tears flowed freely. "Yes! Let's get married again!"
Bright stood, slipping the ring onto Win's finger before they embraced tightly.
Two months later, they married again, this time for love, not just obligation.
End of Flashback
The reason Win wanted Bright to stay home was to care for their daughter, Light. Though sometimes he would work from home, he cherished the moments spent with her.
Win's POV
I sat in the backyard with Light, who was now five months old and full of energy. Bright joined us, bringing food for me and a bib and milk for Light, as it was her feeding time.
After remarrying Bright, I felt at peace. My life felt complete with Light in it.
Seeing her face melted away my exhaustion after a long day at work. I was grateful that Bright cared for her around the clock; she was already starting to look like him.
Once Light finished her milk, she drifted off to sleep, and I gently placed her in her crib.
Finally, it was our alone time.
Bright came over and wrapped his arms around me, clinging tightly.
"I love you, Win," he said sweetly.
"I love you more, Bright. Thank you for being my husband and Light's dad," I replied, kissing him softly.
End of Story
Hello everyone!
I'm excited to share that this story has been revised for improvement. "Arranged Marriage" is the first fan fiction I created, inspired by my love for BrightWin during their 2gether era. While it's bittersweet that they've stopped working together as a couple, I'm truly happy for their individual successes, and I hope you all are too.
Thank you for taking the time to read this little story!
