Stretching my arms waking up from a nap I look around and everyone is asleep on the couches and not in their rooms.Standing up from the soft white couch I walk to the kitchen and there's a sleepy Mattia sitting in the chair with his hand in his hair and a cup of coffee in his free hand
"Morning,you look like you've been up all night",I say looking at him as if he were doing something disgusting.Searching the cabinets for serial he began to talk,"No I was keeping the look out ya know for anyone suspicious lurking around the house",i hear him say his voice sounding really tired
Turning to him while pouring in my cereal I begin to respond back,"Well you need to sleep now I'll be up just go to sleep",I explain while taking a spoon full of cereal I just finished making for myself Mattia getting up grabbing a spoon and taking some of it out of my bowl
"Are you for real?",I stare at him while putting my spoon into my bowl and smacking him across his head.Grabbing me by my arms he pushes me against the corner of the kitchen and stares deep into my eyes,"Don't do that it's to early for this",he growls at me my eyes wide in shock
"And i'm staying up to keep watch I don't care what you say",he calms down and let's me go walking away and into the living room.Frozen in the same place I just eat my cereal right there still shocked from what just went down in this big ole kitchen
This boy has so many hide outs that are literally like mansions like boy what?!.Casually coming into the kitchen it's Kairi and he just rubbed his eyes the entire time,"Morning Kai",I say with a small smile on my face and going to sit at the table
"Morning has Mattia slept at all?",he says pointing to the living room.Shaking my head at him he shrugs his shoulders and continues to do what he been doing this whole time.He began making coffee and Mattia came back into the kitchen
"Later on there's a ball for Malevolent only me,kairi,alejandro,roshaun,alvaro,and you can go because my parents still think i'm with you and they wouldn't accept Ruby because of something that doesn't concern anyone,so just get ready for later",he says about to leave but I immediately get up
"I don't know if that's a good idea",I say staring at my feet.I was scared of course of what Josh would do if he figured out why I'm going to the ball with Mattia.He wouldn't like this at all
"Sorry Hayden but you have to for me please,they really want to see you and trust me they already know your a Faye they don't care,they say your different than your dad",he says coming up to me and grabbing my hands
Shaking my head I would cry but than I would have to give him an explanation and trust me he wouldn't stop asking what was wrong.Holding in my tears once I knew they weren't pooling in I looked at him
"Fine",I say placing a small smile on my face.Nodding he smiled and walked away causing me to put my hands in my hair and begin to cry forgetting Kairi were in the kitchen.Feeling arms wrap around me I look up and it's Kairi
"I won't let him touch you at all,your safe here",he says rubbing my back and me wrapping my arms around him as I silently cried on his shoulder.After about five minutes I wiped my tears cause Mattia wanted us all in the living room
Not making eye contact with anyone I sit in the far corner of the couch by myself and stared at my phone which were in my hands,"So me,kairi,alejandro,hayden,roshaun,and alvaro are going to a ball later but you guys can't come for reasons but we will all have a date Hayden's my date and the boys have one who will be waiting for them at the entrance",he says reading off of a sheet of paper
"Why do you have to be her date?",Josh says his chest rising up and down as if he were mad.Mattia looks at him and puts on a smirk,"There's reasons Joshua,I could tell you but you wouldn't wanna know",he says causing my eyes to go wide.He shouldn't have said that it makes things seem bad
"She's not going and I don't care what you guys say",he says standing up and walking to me grabbing me by my shirt and pulling me up off the couch and before you know it Mattia was right in front of Josh's face with a look I haven't seen before
"Let her go and sit your narrow ass down before I do it for you",he says tilting his head a bit.Not even looking at me he let me go and sat back down.Mattia looked at me and gave me a look as I fixed my shirt
"Hayden come",the boy says as he fixed his hair.Me looking at Kairi he shrugged his shoulders and I was literally panicking.As soon as we got into the kitchen he didn't hesitate to get into the conversation
"Does he put his hands on you? or control you? don't lie to me either because I swear if your lying i'll be so angry with you",he yells as his face goes red,"No he doesn't",I lie looking at my fingers and than looking back at Mattia who's staring at me trying to read me
And with that he just walks away like nothing even happened.When he finds out..if he finds out he won't be happy with me or Josh or anyone else who knows about this...
