Our Eternal Love

CALVIN IS UNEXPECTED

The day started as usual. I woke up to usual sun rays because I always forget to close the blinds. Therefore I woke up before my alarm went off. I still had time before I had to get ready so I got back to reading my book.

I was ready in my usual clothes. I packed a sandwich for my way and thought of getting coffee from Starbucks for both of us. Once I reached office I collected all the paper work from marketing team which Calvin told me to.

I went to Calvin’s office and kept the coffee on his table waiting for him to come.

“ Good morning, beautiful.” Calvin opened and then closed the door and kissed me on the lips.

“ Good morning Mr Smith.” I said reminding him that we are in the office. 

“Oh! Starbucks. I love it.” He said like a kid.

“ Yeah. On my way I was getting one for myself so I thought I’ll grab one for you too.

“Thank you. So how are you, still sore?” He said slowly.

“ I’m better. Just a little. Here, the documents you wanted from marketing team.

“Great. Just check for some updates from the Europe company.”

“I’ll go check for it. Anything else?” I asked.

“Not for now. I’ll give you a call if anything comes.”

“Although a bunch of thoughts are coming in mind. You wanna take a note?” He asked.

“Yeah. Let me grab a pen.”

"So those important notes are : about your cute little ass and your hot....."

“Calvin! Not now. It’s hard to control after seeing you and you are not making it any easier.”

“Yeah. I bet it’s not harder for you than it’s for me. Seeing you in that little skirt is way easier for me huh?”

“Well I’m going back to my desk. It’s the only way we can keep ourselves in check.”

“I still have a better idea.” Calvin smirked.

“ Your better idea’s gonna have to wait.”

With that I exited his office and sat on the desk. A while later I was finished with my work when I got a call from Calvin to come in his office.

“Do you have any plans for lunch Ms. brown.”

“Not yet. Why?”

“I was going to meet a client in restaurant. So I thought why not we have lunch and then you can stay with me in the meeting.”

“ But what are we gonna tell your client.”

“Nothing. Assistants accompany there bosses all the time. There’s no explanation required.” He said.

“So what do you want to eat. After we decide that you need to message those details to our client too.” He said.

“So who is this client? Generally I’m supposed to tell you about meetings.” I said.

“ I know. But he called me directly and wanted me to invest in his company. I don’t remember his name. But ok what I heard is, he’s CEO of a company in New York and right now is under debts. So I thought why not help somebody in need.”

I love how he’s always helping those in need. He's so much more that what I thought he was. I was so wrong.

“You’re the best you know.” I said adoringly.

“Maybe. But so do you know it’s who you make me best now.”

“Appreciate yourself Calvin. You’re so good at everything you do.”

“Well. I know about that. You want me to show my goodness now in my office.” Calvin held me by my waist.

“ Okay. We are done with the talk now. Let’s go to some Italian place.” I said.

“As you say.”

We reached soon as the place was close to the office building. We ordered Lasagna and chicken pizza. After we finished eating Calvin got the client’s call that he was arriving at the place Calvin messaged him.

Soon he arrived and he knew about Calvin so he came to us directly. Calvin asked his name again and told him that he was ready to pay for the debt once he sees all his accounts and taxes so that he is sure about the works that company does.

The client Mr. Stone told that he’d send those via emails and then Calvin told him that once he gets it checked by his accountants he’ll invest in it.

I couldn’t ignore but notice Mr. Stone giving me shady looks. He is creepy. We walked down together when I remembered that I forgot my purse so I got back to where we were sitting meanwhile I saw them talking. When I was getting back all I could see was Calvin’s back while Mr Stone was smirking. I thought maybe Mr. Stone joked about something.

Out of nowhere Calvin punched him so hard that I was all scared. I ran towards to stop him while he was strangling him.

“ Calvin, stop. You already punched him. What happened?”

He wasn’t ready to listen he was punching him hard.

I pulled Calvin and his bodyguard who is always there but mostly never shows that he’s there with him pulled him back. Then the body guard took him from there. While Calvin called the main police official and told to come to him.

After he was taken to NYPD we took off from the restaurant and got into the car. I wanted Calvin to calm down first so that I can ask him what the heck happened.

“Now will you tell me what happened?” I asked in a stern tone. Hoping he would answer this time.

“He’s a fucking bastard.” He said in harsh tone.

“Calvin.” I pressed my lips.

I didn’t wanna press him further but I also wanted to know what actually happened that changed his mood in a second.

“I can’t right now. Please.”

“Okay.”

Neither of us talked on the way back.

As we reached back Calvin went straight to his office while I got back to my desk and did some work.

The rest of day went fast. I went to his office to tell him I was going home hoping that his mood has changed. But from his looks that wasn’t the case.

“Calvin, I’m going home.” I said.

“Okay. Message me when you reach back home.” He said while his eyes were on his laptop.
