Last night was great. We ate, drank a lot and danced to our heart's content. But it certainly didn't look that good right now because we had a hell of a hangover this morning. We had a morning flight but our heads were pounding a lot. I had to force myself out of the bed to make coffee and also for water. My throat felt like Sahara desert. Calvin called the front desk to get us some ibuprofen. We took two pills with coffee and jumped in the shower. We took a quick shower in order to catch our flight on time. Luckily, we didn't unpack much of our stuff because we were here for just one day. So we got to the airport on time and boarded our flight to Belgium.

The flight landed in Brussels after almost an hour. Brussels, the capital of Belgium, is very famous for its cuisine. It's the very reason that I'm excited to be here. It is also known for its historical and architectural landmarks, which bore me a little but we're going to visit them because Calvin finds them intriguing. From the airport, we went directly to the hotel and Calvin left immediately after we checked in to the hotel. While he was gone, I decided to unpack the basic things we'll require because we were staying here for a day only. I also decided to check out the hotel for a while. It had swimming pools, hot tubs, game room, spa and much more. None of them apppealed to me so I returned back to my room and read my book.

I ended up completing the book till the very end. That's the thing with good books, you can't keep them down till the end. I checked my phone and messaged Calvin to know when he'll return. His reply came almost instantly. Unfortunately, he was running late because the meeting got extended. I didn't have much to do in the hotel so I decided to step out, check the neighborhood a little. I found a cute cafe called Cafe Belga down the lane which had an excellent rating. Since Belgium is famous for its waffles and fries, I had to try them out. I occupied a table by the window and ordered waffles, some fries and cold coffee. By the time I was finished eating, Calvin was also free and asked me where I was. I messaged him to meet me at the hotel reception after freshening up a little. The waffles were delicious so I got some packed for Calvin and paid the bill. Calvin was in the lobby, dressed casually in jeans and T-shirt.

" Hey, I missed you." I greeted him with a hug.

" I missed you too. Sorry the meeting ran late and I had to finish up today only. What did you do? "

" I finished reading my book so I decided to head out and check out the neighborhood. I could this cafe down the lane and it's so good. I got you some waffles from there. Just wait till you try them. We should definitely go there again tomorrow before we leave."

He took a big bite of his waffle and said.

" Oh yeah, we definitely should." His voice was garbled because he had his mouth full so he sounded very funny.

" Hahahah don't talk with food in your mouth. You sound comical."

He nodded and swallowed his food.

" So where do you gonna go first?" Calvin asked me.

" Let's go to that Art Nouveau Tour you were excited about. "

" Yeah cool. Let's go. "
