LET'S ACE IT

The sunday morning went by in a blink. Calvin’s mom made an assorted breakfast. I loved it to bits and even asked her to teach me someday. She was thrilled by the idea. She is the cutest.

We spent our day with her and drove back to New York in the evening. She packed us a bunch of food for the way. The drive back was therefore filled with us eating muffins and nothing else.

We reached back at Calvin’s after a long ride and straight went to bed. We were so full with the breakfast and muffins that all we wanted to do was sleep. And we both had work tomorrow. We cuddled for a while and talked about our day and went to sleep. But not before I told him that we are gonna go to Canada next month to visit my parents. We are gonna keep it a weekend trip because of my University.

NEXT MORNING

I opened my eyes forcefully still wanting to sleep but I couldn’t since I had a big day ahead of me. I didn’t see Calvin sleeping by my side nor was he in the bathroom. He must be making coffee then.

After a while he came in the room with a tray of breakfast. And his naked upper body. Thank God that he was still wearing his boxers. I put my focus back on the breakfast tray which had two glasses filled with some juice, pancakes that too chocolate flavour with some extra chocolate sauce and some croissants and a bowl filled with fruits and a french toast.

“Oh my goodness, Calvin!” I was shocked.

“I know.” Calvin grinned.

“So freaking innovative every time.” I spoke.

“Just like you baby. You’re shocking me with your wild side and I’m shocking you with my romantic side.”

“Shut up.” I bit my lip to contain my smile.

“So where did you order this from, huh?” I asked.

“Order?” Calvin’s eyes widened.

“What?” I asked.

“I made it, babe.” Calvin replied.

“No way Calvin.” I was elated.

“Yeah, baby. You got yourself a good man here.” Calvin spoke in a husky voice, trying to imitate someone but I wasn’t sure who.

“I know that babe. But what I didn’t know was that you made all of this stuff. So thank you.”

“Love you.” Saying that, we got to eating like baby elephants.

“Although I had those croissants being made.”

“Doesn’t matter.”

After an amazing breakfast we had an amazing shower. I got dressed pretty fast and wore a cute little dress with my white sneakers. I kept my hair open with a no makeup look. Just a simple lip balm for the hydration.

Calvin took care of the university fee and told me to go straight to classes. We took off in his car and reached in a few mins. Calvin kissed me and wished me luck.

“Call Liam when you’re free he’ll drop you off to work.” Calvin said. Liam was his driver from a long time and he trusted him.

“Okay. I will. Love you.” I waved him goodbye.

I entered the university with a pounding heart. I was nervous and happy. I walked as fast as I could because I was really excited for the class and also needed to find my class.

After continuous rounds and asking loads of people I found my class and still I was the first one to enter. I need to chill. As time passed a lot of people started entering while I was just sitting there with my books open. I’m a nerd. A girl sat beside me and we got to talking. She graduated from this university in bachelor’s business degree and is now doing marketing from here. I told her about my bachelor’s degree. She seemed sweet. I looked around my class and a hell lot of people were there. There were some really cute boys but compared to Calvin they were way behind. He was,is and will remain the only man I’ll be this much attracted to ever.

The professor entered the class and introduced himself. He was old yet very fit. They are Columbia’s Professors. What else do you expect?

I was done with classes now. It was a great first day. I made some friends. Some creepy guys gave creepy looks. It was a long day. And I need to go to my job after this. I’m tired already.

I had called Liam earlier and he reached just before I exited the place. He dropped me off and told me to call him again when I get free. I replied to him politely with a smile.

As I reached the place I called out to the assistant and asked her to explain me all the work. She did that and slowly explained everything. I was happy since I get things very late. It wasn’t that hard but editing is usually time consuming.

While I was editing some stuff , a fellow employee called me out and told me that there was a visit from some guy who was checking out work environment and that every body has been told to work properly. We don’t know about his identity but some are saying that he was from some intelligence bureau. I asked him his features and I was right. It all pointed towards Calvin. This guy. He was serious when he said that and didn’t even forget about it. I was sure when my employee told me what he was wearing.

I was about to call Calvin when my phone rang and it was him.

“Hey there.” Calvin said.

“I’m tired Calvin. It’s way too much work.” I spoke.

“It’s your decision Sophia. If it would have been in my hands I would’ve never let you get this tired except you know when.” I’m sure he was smirking when he said that.

“You’re always in the mood. Aren’t you?” I said.

“All the time baby, all the time.” Calvin groaned.

“ Although I was hoping for some phone sex but seems like you’re too tired to have one.”

“Yeah, way too much.” I said.

“So at what time should I pick you up?” Calvin spoke.

“I already booked a cab.”

“No way. You’re not going in a cab at this time.” He yelled.

“I’m not walking Calvin. And I need to go home today. I’ve been staying with you for many nights now and I also need to study today. I’ve got loads of homework.

“Okay then. I’ll pick you and drop you off at your apartment.”

“You must be tired too. You don’t need to.”

“I’m never tired for you. And I’m thinking of hitting the gym today. It’s been long since I did.”

“Then you should eat something. We’ll have some salad on the way.”

“Done. So what time should I come then?”

“At 8" I said.

“Meet you there in a bit.”

“Okay.”
