Will turned back to the bag, setting that abomination of a cloak aside, hopefully somewhere he'd never have to look upon it again. "What else is in there?" he asked tentatively.

Halt, sensing Will's dread, said, "Don't worry so much. It's all high quality."

Will doubted that, but he was willing to give it a shot.

Halt pulled out a quiver full of normal looking arrows. "These are your arrows."

Will took them gently, waiting for the 'but'.

"Look after them. We don't have any replacements."

Will sighed. At least it can't get any worse than this, he thought.

Reaching his hand into the bag again, Halt pulled out a piece of string. "This is your bow."

Will looked at the string for a second, before replying, "No. That's a string."

Halt looked Will dead in the eyes. "We ran out of wood making the arrows."

Will felt his faith in humanity slip away as he resigned himself to his new life.
