There's rustling in the walking
And a spryness in the step
At this turning of the seasons,
When the leaves are gold and red.

There's a crispness in the airwaves
And an apple butter scent,
Since Autumn flaunts it's beauty
Now that Summer days are spent.

There's a mellowness pervading
That was absent days ago,
And a shiller note is sounded
In the calling of the crow.

The golden moon's more golden,
The pumpkins have an orangey glow.
Autumn's curtain has been opened:
Autumn's putting on its show.
