A GARDEN

A garden is a hallowed spot
Where iris and forget-me-not
Bloom side by side and in between
The ivy's variegated green!

Simple charm surrounds a place
Egded with fragile Queen Anne's lace;
Bright verbena by the fence
Assumes an air of permanence.

Row on row of multihued
Daisies, waiting to be viewed,
Raise their faces to the sky,
Welcoming each passerby.

So designed that even we
May glimpse God's true identity!
