The meadowlark is on the wing
The pastures wet with dew,
The rooster Crows and I am up
To start a day that's new.

When others find their blankets warm
My bed's an empty shell,
My heart is eager to be on
The road I know so well.

I have rendezvous with Jesus
We walk so quietly,
If you'd but know the peace He brings
Perhaps you'd follow me.
